The Polish authorities handed over “about a dozen” Mi-24 combat helicopters to the Ukrainian armed forces. It is noted that the Polish authorities did not publicly inform about the supply of these helicopters to Ukraine. The helicopters were sent to help the Ukrainian army in the counter-offensive. In March, North Macedonia already transferred Soviet-made helicopters to Ukraine. Kyiv received 12 Mi-24s, which originally belonged to Ukraine itself, but were transferred to Macedonia in 2001. As of 2022, the Polish army aviation had 15 Mi-24D and 13 Mi-24V helicopters.
