As a small piece of good news the pro Russian faction was actually routed tonight, to my surprise, to be honest...the sitting President lost.....57.7 to 42.3%

So are the Romanians, just that we didn't genocide, multiple times, Turkic populations throughout Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia.I think it speaks volumes about the Stockholm syndrome within the wider Turkic world
I guess it needs time, Kazakhstan switched to latin Alphabet recently, Usbekistan and Turkmenistan did a while ago its only a matter of time until the Russian influenced gets reduced to a minimum.

The russian approach to Turkey has been all wrong. If the Russians wanted a compliant and completely friendly Turkey, all they had to do was support Turkish concerns in northern Syria. Had the Russians said the Turks need a buffer zone to protect themselves, you would of had a Turkey that would have supported russia in most if not all her endeavours.

But the Russian character does not change, it behaves arrogantly and believes threats and violence are the best way to obtain something. That may work against eastern euro slavs who always capitulate when facing a bigger power, but against the Turks it only made their resolve to oppose Russia stronger. Just this year alone you see the results, the Idlib blitz, turning the tide in libya and now crushing armenia while Russia looked on.

Killing those Turkish troops back in march has set Turkey on a course to oppose Russia wherever she finds the chance.

Expect Turkish involvement in Ukraine to increase over the coming years too.

What matters for the wider Turkic world is that Turkey continues to have success on the battlefield. As long as Turkey can keep winning and help other Turkic states to succeed, the wrongs of the past will be corrected in due course.

Ultranationalist who think of building greater Albanian or greater Romania or greater hungaria should learn from Germany and Iraqi experience of greater country and how that destroyed them in the end

Romania has never been an important country and never will be.

We mustn't confuse "greater" with what is required to secure national survival. For example Turkey tried the peace route and all it did was bring us great dangers and threats, we have no choice but to expand.

I would cut that God forsaken region loose.Their GDP per capita is half of Moldova, and we all know how rich Moldova is, their few exports mostly go to Moldova and the EU....get the 40-50k people who want to get out out and leave the other 400k to their miserable faith...here!have your independence or reunion with Russia or whatever....goodbye!

Exapnsion will lead to downfall. I see the Armenians with their miserable situationist they claim lands from turkey and Georgia even though they can’t keep karabakh and Azeris do the same they can’t afford war with Armenia yet they claim lands from Iran Georgia and Russia the Albanians can barely defeat Serbia yet they claim lands from Greece Montenegro and Macedonia

Saddam try to take Iranian lands and annex Kuwait even though he had Kurds who doesn’t want to be part of Iraq and ending up losing his army and the north of his country with no fly zone
