The statement is rather notable, as Lula has long been considered an ally of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. It comes on the heels of the Venezuelan opposition's assertion that they have acquired enough voting data to prove they won the election despite a complete lack of transparency by the Maduro administration.
