My second question about that. Is it possible to integrate a battery pack has similar dimensions and weight like Mk82 or sniper pod?
why stop with a battery pack? US Navy's next-gen jammer pods have an entire ram-air turbine in them. the whole package is about the size of a drop tank.

now if you take this pod and elongate it, put the turbine in the front, and fill the remaining space with a side-looking massive radar array and datalink hardware, youll have a pod thatll turn any platform its mounted on into a mini-AWACS. suddenly every single Akinci within the Turkish air force fleet has the ability to act as an AWACS plane. it should look something like this:
AN-ALQ249-Jammer.jpg

surely you could replace the turbine with the PD series engines, but the power to weight ratio would take a hit. wouldnt be optimal.

Actually a power generation pod with a mini turbine perfect to F16 s power generation problem but still we need to develop it and probably it takes at least three to four year. But Battery pack s easy to produce probably in one year we can produce it same timeline with aesa radar. But still we need to develop this kind of power pod asap.
Radar Pod with own power production system idea for Akinci is perfect with moudularity and integration aspects much better than my imagination. At there still PD series seems to more suitable although their weight may be more but their fuel consumption better then turbine also cost effective. I m not sure which one more suitable for long time duration.

AWACS-grade power generating PD series engines would be too bulky to fit in the pod. TEI has multiple turbojet engines in that size bracket at the ready. it wouldnt take 3-4 years to implement them.

EHSIM decoy is in final trials. You can watch the safe release of decoy from F16

The use of these maneuverable RF active decoys, which can mimic a defined radar signature, on naval platforms is also becoming an important market.

We already see that the US Bae Systems rocket propelled, disposable, active RF decoy system for heavy tonnage naval ships is preferred by the US Navy.

EHSİM can create not only air-disposable active decoys, but also a naval softkill solution very quickly with a partner company.

The most up-to-date fighter AESA radar development roadmap. Unfortunately, we can't read it. The first star must be Akıncı and the second one is F-16. The third star might be Kızılelma.
If I understand the graph correctly, and if -as you say- the second star is the F-16 modernizations, then there will be a two-step integration activity. Great news?! indicating that modernization activities will continue with b-40? Or should we think that preparations for integration into 7 different platforms will be completed by 2027?

I don't know but I guess the last two stars might be related to BURFIS.

A little more about MURAD
MURAD 1000+ GaN T/R

GaN T/R Module
PAE(Power Added Efficiency) : Rumors start from %37 and reach as high as %54
20W nominal 30W peak output power per module (20kW power-30kW peak power for radar plus several kW for accessories like LRUs etc.)
Multilayer LTCC packaging (Low-Temperature Co-fired Ceramic)
SIGE (Silicon-Germanium) multifunction BICMOS IC/Core Chip (either on 130 or 150nm/0.13-0.15μm)
GaN MMIC (likely on 150nm 0.15μm)
Digital beamforming+cognitive radar algorithms.
Specially designed ethylene glycol+water liquid cooling system with microchannels.

Radar part of the BURFIS
2000+ GaN T/R module

It is rumored that the complete RF integrated suite(BURFIS) might have a peak power of more than 100kW.
Another rumor is that radar will have dual-band capability (S and X band) and will be able to detect stealth targets over 100km.

Another piece of news is that Aselsan is working on an L Band very long-range land-based radar.

Ok, I can take everything speculated about BURFIS on its face value, as it is possibly achievable for company like aselsan.
but, detecting stealth target at 100km ?
Can you please be more specific what do you mean by 'stealth' in that case ?

Because it is a vague word given different stealth fighters has different level of low observablity as we already know it.

Fighter stealth is optimized for higher frequencies(X,Ka,Ku etc). Stealth aircraft can be detected at a higher range by utilizing lower frequency bands like L or S. Especially the S band is a hot topic because with the technological improvements now resolution in S-band is good enough to track targets and accurately guide RF-guided missiles. I think stealth means stealth fighters like F-35.

What makes you think that?

I think consensus was that the project is delayed as Canada is refusing to deliver some important systems. Also the Turkish flag on the tail seems odd and misaligned. I would be happy to be proven wrong!

Retinar-FAR-AD-Paramotor-Testi-scaled.jpg

Paramotor detection with Meteksan's Retinar FAR-AD radar

The capabilities of the Retinar FAR-AD Drone Detection Radar, which serves our security forces, are strengthened and exhibited against current threats. Meteksan Defense demonstrated the capabilities of the Retinar FAR-AD Drone Detection Radar against paramotor threats, especially the separatist terrorist organization PKK/YPG. At the Land Systems Seminar, which was held for the fifth time this year, it was shared that the Retinar FAR-AD Drone Detection Radar detects the simulated paramotor flight from a distance of 7.8 km.

Retinar FAR-AD Drone Detection Radar system is a proven solution for detecting fixed and rotary wing mini/micro unmanned aerial vehicles or drone systems. Like drones, paramotors have become an important threat to our security forces in recent years, especially since they can be easily procured and used by terrorist organizations. Even if there are various jamming systems as a precaution against drone threats, they must first be detected in order to neutralize both the paramotor and the drone systems. Visual detection can be difficult due to the small size of the threat and its eligibility to change depending on weather conditions. For this reason, radar systems come to the fore as the most critical system for the remote detection of both paramotors and mini/micro UAVs.

Retinar FAR-AD Drone Detection Radar at the Service of Security Forces!

In this context, within the scope of the "Mini/Micro UAV Detection Radar System Agreement" signed with the Presidency of Defense Industries in 2019, Meteksan Savunma Sanayii A.Ş. completed the Retinar FAR-AD Drone Detection Radar in a short period of 8 months. Retinar FAR-AD Systems, which successfully completed many different tests such as distinguishing drones from birds, detecting and tracking different drones such as DJI Phantom and TALON, was delivered and put into the service of our security forces.

Retinar FAR-AD can detect and track threats on land up to 7 km and airborne threats up to 3 km at the same time with an instantaneous 40° elevation angle. Radar provides the operator with the heading, distance up to 9 km, speed and orientation information of the targets tracked with the "User Interface Software". The system, which can perform automatic target classification within the tracking information while scanning, increases the classification performance with detailed algorithms in the Target Analysis Mode in order to eliminate the uncertainties and increase the classification reliability.

Advanced Technology and Digital Based Radar Architecture

Retinar FAR-AD operates in the Ku frequency band with low RF output power. It has advanced technology solid state radio frequency design and digital based radar architecture. The Retinar FAR-AD uses a customized pulse compression pulse doppler waveform. Retinar FAR-AD with digital radar architecture offers selectable effective usage modes with different waveforms and different angular rotational speeds.

Retinar FAR-AD provides effective protection against low and high flying Mini/Micro UAVs with its 40° elevation angle. Retinar FAR-AD provides the user with the ability to define the area and friendly zone. With the built-in GPS and magnetic compass, the system displays its location and orientation to the user on the digital map.

This is a critical capability that must be obtained on a larger scale. We need such systems in Amanos Mountain area, border areas with Iraq and Iran/Agri Mountain.

Drones other than usage by terrorists for surveillance and correcting artillery fire are also used by smugglers for reconnaissance of border areas where they intend to cross.
