The nose size is the last hole of the zurna, you can reduce the aesa according to the nose size, I'm talking about other systems. Anyway, maybe they'll tell the public how they did it.
Power delivery, space allocated, cooling holes for air intake for the cooling system everything is designed with specs provided by Aselsan. You will see Akıncı flying with AESA very soon after Aselsan delivered AESA radar to Baykar and many people will be surprised by the speed of integration.

Turkish airborne radar roadmap changed a lot since it is first introduced. The early roadmap included a mechanical radar a small AESA radar and a big AESA radar. Later mechanically steered radar is canceled. The rumors about the last update include a single AESA radar for all the platforms. We will see.

The latest Roadmap rumors include a single AESA for all platforms. SavunmaSanayist also made a piece of news indirectly confirming that.



"F-16 ÖZGÜR’de de Kullanılacak! Milli AESA Radar Tanıtıldı"​

It will be used for F-16 Özgür too. National AESA radar is presented

"Proje çerçevesinde üretilen radar, sadece F-16 modernizasyonunda değil, aynı zamanda İnsansız Hava Araçları’nda (İHA) da kullanılacak. Radarın ilk uygulaması ise AKINCI İHA’da gerçekleştirilecek."

The radar that is produced in the scope of the project will not only be used for F-16 modernization but will also be used for the UAVs too. The first application of radar will be realized on Akıncı UAV.

Note that the news doesn't say "proje çerçevesinde üretilecek radarlar" ( The radarS that will be produced in the scope of the project or mention any scaled-up/down version of the radar. It should have mentioned that because this is a bloody presentation of the radar itself.

I did not confirm this whatsoever but it was a rumor I heard a few months ago.

You can also see even at the very early stage of the radar project Baykar is involved and radar integration is taken into account for Akıncı and most of the calculations are done accordingly (Top left at the early roadmap).

unlike MWIR, LWIR can detect trough cloud much better up to 50km. new EOTS has a LWIR.
another issue is even though you see the aircraft with thermal imagining, you cannot say its distance from you, its speed using thermal cameras, they normally do it using lazer tracking like tb2 does, but those also doesnt work well at sandy, rainy weather.

yes, but if you have ramjet BVR on board with a very very long range, you may wanna take the chance to engage it without proper firing solution.

but again, because of limitations of the passive/active detection capability dog fight will always exist between two peer even when you have sixth gen fighter flying around.

I am now wondering how Akıncı is going to supply 20kW and 30kW power, F-16 for example produces around 60kW energy overall, F-35 produces 160kW (and iirc F-22 is 120kW)
F22 has 260 kw power output.
One f119 creates 130kW.

They should prepare the TS1400 for Akıncı deployment for plenty of propulsion and avionics power.

What should be the difficulty supplying 30kw or 42hp to a radar while least powerful version is 900hp combined.

I doubt Kızılelma will have a large AESA. F-16 AESA can be used on Kızılelma to lower the costs. This looks more like BURFIS
