In Luhansk region, the SSU has uncovered another weapon cache of the so-called ‘L/DNR’ IAFs.

The seized items include anti-tank mines that equal almost 40 kg of TNT.

The cache was located under the floor of a dilapidated building in Severodonetsk district.

According to preliminary information, militants set up the cache in 2014 to carry out armed resistance to the ATO forces, including targeting Ukrainian military equipment.

During the inspection of the site, the SSU officers uncovered:

  • 5 TM-62 anti-tank mines;
  • 12 grenade launcher rounds;
  • 7 grenades of various modifications;
  • 3 MON-50 anti-personnel mines.
The operation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of illegal activity, identify and bring to justice those involved.

The SSU Main Directorate in Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the activities in cooperation with the State Emergency Service.
