The Swedish navy's physically largest ship "Belos" has sailed to the area where leaks occurred last week on the gas pipelines Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2.

This is shown by the monitoring service vesselfinder.com, according to Jyllands-Posten.

The newspaper writes that "Belos" is a submarine rescue ship. It is a ship that has equipment that can be used to inspect the damage to the Nord Stream gas pipelines.

There is, among other things, a crane and underwater vessels with cameras and sonar equipment on the ship.

The Danish navy is also massively present. The frigate "Absalon" and the frigate "Esbern Snare" are in the waters around Bornholm.

Germany has also sent the diving training ship "Baltrum" to the area, writes Jyllands-Posten.

The two gas lines stopped leaking gas over the weekend.

On Wednesday last week, the Danish Energy Agency expected that the investigations of the gas pipelines could begin during this week.

It is unknown whether that is still the plan.

From the Danish side, the Copenhagen Police are responsible for the investigation. In Sweden, it is the security police Säpo.

Copenhagen Police do not wish to provide any further information on Monday morning about the upcoming investigations into the leaks to Jyllands-Posten.

A total of four gas leaks were discovered on the two gas lines at the beginning of last week.

The Nord Stream pipelines are currently not in use. Nord Stream 2 has never been, while Nord Stream 1 was temporarily closed in September.

The authorities in both Denmark and Sweden have stated that it is suspected that the lines have been exposed to sabotage. Who is possibly behind it is not known.
