The moment the United States kills a single Turkish soldier to protect a bunch of terrorists, NATO immediately breaks down and Rubin the Rube knows this perfectly well. That's setting a very bad precedent.
It's like USA likes to sleep with a prostitute when the legal partner is looking after his interests, and threatening his own partner of killing in order to support the prostitute. US has prostituted it's relationship with turkey by supporting the Kurds.
They should have exerted more pressure on SDF to come to a reasonable settlement within the framework of one country, one army, sighting that the situation is completely different, from what it was. United states should prefer a peaceful neighboring environment for it's NATO partner country so that they can contribute more to NATO, but undermining and pulling the carpet under the feet, and working against the goodwill and peace against a nato member, defies all common sense. Sometimes forced to think that the build up of forces by turkey, threats and air attacks, and ceasefires are inorder for the US to exert more pressure on SDF to soften their stance, one hopes that's true, because it would prevent more bloodshed.

These heavily bribed juntas by Jewish lobbies, value the partnership with a terrorists group more than the partnership with, some one they had trust to even have their nuclear weapons there.
Turkey should stop the flow of oil to Isreal, from all areas, like Azerbaijan, east Syria.

I smell fear on our side. We are being pacified by USA. We have time until the January 20th. After that ı dont think we can make a move on Northern Syria.

Turkey needs to solve the kurdish problem quickly because Israel is expanding the land it annexes; the more Turkey waits on the kurdish issue, the more Israel will annex lands and the more weaker will the new govt position be
There is already a seriously growing discontent within SNA due to Turkey's hesitation and the YPG-US-Israel axis is using it to its benefit
Honestly, at this point, I would tell Russia to keep its bases in return to aiding the new Syrian govt to take back the lands Israel took within a short time frame of a month. As far as I know, Russia is playing all the cards it has to keep the bases it wants in Syria

I think the conceptions and attitudes in Pentagon and the state dpt. towards the issue are too entrenched, and Trump's convictions on the matter do not seem to be that forceful to uproot those entrenched institutional roots. At the end of the day, on the ground realities and what cards we have to play against YPG, and with HTS or the new government will be the determining factors. They have to be made uncomfortable enough to give up all of the interests they have over there or be forced to transfer it to some other player. That will only be achieved if we play hardball, otherwise you have no leverage.
