We had an entire year to obliterate YPG but instead of doing anything we just got into a war of words with Israel.

The whole world was focused on the Israel-Gaza war, it was the perfect time to launch an op. But instead we just kept supporting Hamas woth words, knowing damn well that Jews have leverage in Washington and also have a lot of power in terms of media/news.

Now we're threatening an operation but keep tip toeing around. Slowly, countries like France are starting to support the idea of redoplying troops. We truly deserve the situation we are in.

We can easily launch an operation and you can be rest assured that no one would get in the way. But it seems like our government keeps getting bribed to stop. We need to act before their "rojava" becomes a second KRG.

Every day more inactive statements are coming from Fidan. Basicly we are acting as if it is Syria's Internal problem and we want nothing to do with it. This is beyond absurd.

It would be a big mistake for Turkey to leave the job unfinished after everything that has happened.

Of course, the best option would be to clear out a 30 km buffer zone across the entire border - but this is not realistic. In my opinion, HTS does not want conflict or the bad press associated with it. Instead, SNA ,with Turkey's help, will take the entire blue area from Manbij to Ayn Issa. The north east will not be touched because there are too many Kurds and not enough support to establish an Arab-led government in these towns. It would create instablility and cause in-fighting.

The rest of the SDF held territory will be joint -led with the new Syrian government. Income from Oil will be split with the Kurds and the new Syrian government.

Elsewhere, I think Turkey should establish an agreement to takeover Tartus Naval base. The Latakia airbase is not as important, and the Israeli's have destroyed most of it anyway.

Honestly from now on Israel is the biggest threat to Turkiye in the region from now on.

Turkiye should prepare for war or a proxy war. Arab countries cant threaten Turkiye and Iran has been weakened.

I think the Middle East is going to Turkiye vs Israel/USA. Honestly being in Nato in a way is detering any kind of scumbag attacking. Still the USA is finding ways to kick Turkiye out or trying to expel them. More so trying to bait the Turks.

Israel cant really hurt turkey but turkey will be the end of western occupation of middle east, including in Palestine.

In a few years, you will see airdefence systems all over syria, then Lebanon in a dacade. Possibly even in Egypt about the same time. There is very little Isreal can do, even if they try to divide Syria now, they will fail.

A twoi-party attack on kurd Syria must be prepared to take control of the Hasakah lands, then first take control of Shaddadi and Raqqa, and the Islamists will help from the south to the north without the Kurds. We do not want to allow Israel to dictate this and divide the PKK. Delay the separation of ISIS into a country that will save the Kurds and the rest.

What guaranty do you have that you will always have the luxury to deal with your enemies one at a time? Seems that SNA is making progress despite the "ceasefire" that isn't being respected. Several places we East of Raqqa has changed to SNA hands and it seems PKK/YPG/SDF is being caught on 3 fronts.

Moreover, Lebanon is also seeking active military assistance, ( IMO similar to the train and equip program in Somalia), and the creation of a Turkish-Lebanese base has been widely speculated. Yesterday, the Lebanese prime minister openly declared that they trust first in Allah and then in Turkiye.

It might not be very obvious now but I think it was a strategic mistake for the PKK to ally with Israel so openly. They are desperate for a lap to sit on and Israelis can kick up a fuss in the US with lobbying, but populations in the Middle East loathe Israel and they will also hate PKK for aligning with them. Even among Kurds the PKK might become even more unpopular than it is as they might not be OK with being a buffer for Israel.
