Turkey’s Fidan says existence of “a Kurdish entity” or “Kurdish autonomous” region in Syria is up to Syrian people to decide “Well, I think it wouldn't be proper for me to speak on behalf of the Syrian people”he says
this means HTS will take action soon. They're either gonna declare the unity of Syria and march towards SDF by themselves or they will ask us directly to be involved in their operation, giving legitimacy to our intervention. Mind you these talks are just meant to satisfy and orient the public opinion both in Syria and around the world. The real deals are made behind doors. That's why we shouldn't take Fidan's words at face value here. He's just being diplomatic :)

Anti Turkish Sentiment in the USA camp is getting out of hand.
Either #Turkey and #Erdogan understand the message: 'hands off the #Kurds of #Rojava.' Or, in solidarity with the great people of #Kurdistan, our ally, we remove Turkey from NATO.

US doesn't want turkey and Kurds, fighting, already they are very famous for ditching states and terrorist organisations, after making use of them and finding no value, Pakistan is a clear example. We can hope that SDF has attained a no use status from US. Turkey is more of value than pkk, unless they have some extreme ideas. So they are exerting pressure on SDF to leave and at the same time requesting turkey, to soften a little bit, finally if SDF refused they will ditch them, and allow the Turks to have their way. US accomplishing their interests in Middle East with Kurdish forces is out of question, they need turkey. They needed a force at that time to fight without sacrificing their soldiers, and have their presence in Syria, where Russia and Iran too had their influence.

What if an independent, autonomous or whatever Kurdish state is more of value for Israel in the area, as a buffer between them and other hostile or otherwise at least bothersome for Israel in the area? It whether USA supports Kurds, it is more like whether Israel supports Kurds there.

Yes , but remember we are still NATO member and 10 year ago this type of Article would never be published. Its important to point out that this type of Articles exist in the Western Media.

Isreal would definitely like Kurds to have a free land so they could support them and fulfill their oil needs, and would be a step forward to attain their promised land from nile to Euphrates, it's not easy now because Syria is freed, and even if the Kurds had an autonomous region they couldn't own or do what they want with the oil. Isreal just bullies all helpless nations, they cannot do anything unless US supports them, even now they have got a beating by Hamas, they have achieved nothing than killing those innocent civilians, destroying infrastructure, their tunnels are intact, and Hamas is alive, still capable of going on, with hisbullah they immediately came to a ceasefire because casualties high, had they continued they would have lost territory. They couldn't do anything to hauthis, and Iran we know what they did, they took a hasty retreat, after their planes got locked on by unknown systems, just firing the missiles even without entering Iran border, so Natenyahu just want to show Isreal is powerful, by just grounding high rise buildings and bombing which looks spectacular, but does no much change in real strength as we can see in Lebanon and gaza, so creating a conflict with turkey is a remote possibility, with turkey's air, naval, ground strength, unless US wants it.

We had an entire year to obliterate YPG but instead of doing anything we just got into a war of words with Israel.

The whole world was focused on the Israel-Gaza war, it was the perfect time to launch an op. But instead we just kept supporting Hamas woth words, knowing damn well that Jews have leverage in Washington and also have a lot of power in terms of media/news.

Now we're threatening an operation but keep tip toeing around. Slowly, countries like France are starting to support the idea of redoplying troops. We truly deserve the situation we are in.

We can easily launch an operation and you can be rest assured that no one would get in the way. But it seems like our government keeps getting bribed to stop. We need to act before their "rojava" becomes a second KRG.

Omg, look at those tunnels everyone
There are some high-class ones tbh. Not even hamas had such clearly built tunnels and they have been in the business more than the PKK

Now we know why the US will protect the YPG no matter the cost. If Turkey's eastern side will be partitioned into two states, just as the Zionists/US always wished for, then it will be the radical PKK who will do the job if they arent obliterated now. They are just too dangerous to be left alive at this point

Every day more inactive statements are coming from Fidan. Basicly we are acting as if it is Syria's Internal problem and we want nothing to do with it. This is beyond absurd.

Could house a battalion in there with heavy weapons. Thermobaric is the only solution in that case.

3 years ago ( 2021) I predicted something like this would happen in the long term. It is funny how it took so long, yet everything changed within 1 week.

It would be a big mistake for Turkey to leave the job unfinished after everything that has happened.

Of course, the best option would be to clear out a 30 km buffer zone across the entire border - but this is not realistic. In my opinion, HTS does not want conflict or the bad press associated with it. Instead, SNA ,with Turkey's help, will take the entire blue area from Manbij to Ayn Issa. The north east will not be touched because there are too many Kurds and not enough support to establish an Arab-led government in these towns. It would create instablility and cause in-fighting.

The rest of the SDF held territory will be joint -led with the new Syrian government. Income from Oil will be split with the Kurds and the new Syrian government.

Elsewhere, I think Turkey should establish an agreement to takeover Tartus Naval base. The Latakia airbase is not as important, and the Israeli's have destroyed most of it anyway.

They should have been obliterated ages ago. The problem was the whole world turned against Turkiye even before the Israeli-Hamas war.

Honestly from now on Israel is the biggest threat to Turkiye in the region from now on.

Turkiye should prepare for war or a proxy war. Arab countries cant threaten Turkiye and Iran has been weakened.

I think the Middle East is going to Turkiye vs Israel/USA. Honestly being in Nato in a way is detering any kind of scumbag attacking. Still the USA is finding ways to kick Turkiye out or trying to expel them. More so trying to bait the Turks.

Another headache Turkiye will face is Libya. As Russia lost in Syria they will turn their attention onto Libya
