EU is granting one billion euros for turkey to handle the refugee problem. So this shows how much they value turkey's efforts, so diplomatically they would be supporting turkey with other issues too.

Idk what the hell Turkey is afraid of now that they got so deep into this mess, it is either do it and seal the deal by crushing the PKK or retreat from Syria in disgrace

Turkey needs to solve the kurdish problem quickly because Israel is expanding the land it annexes; the more Turkey waits on the kurdish issue, the more Israel will annex lands and the more weaker will the new govt position be

There is already a seriously growing discontent within SNA due to Turkey's hesitation and the YPG-US-Israel axis is using it to its benefit

Honestly, at this point, I would tell Russia to keep its bases in return to aiding the new Syrian govt to take back the lands Israel took within a short time frame of a month. As far as I know, Russia is playing all the cards it has to keep the bases it wants in Syria

bad or worse. Bad is to move now and deal with their transgressions, worse is to do nothing and deal with their bullshit at a later date. There is no easy way out of this, my mind tells me its better to put an end to this american backed marxist cancer in syria sooner rather then later.
they made same threats when 28 şubat generals wanted to destroy turgut özal's mini kurdistan in northren iraq during çelik oprations in 90s. army attacked anyway the hammer forces protecting PKK ran away and army took control of northren iraq after cleansing it they handed over the region to saddam. we must attack now even if the consequences are grave think about cyprus if our generals hesitated then we would be royally be fucked. yes few decade of economic hardship is northing compare to geopolitical victory. if we dont act now then we are lost and put future generation in such conditions that they never be able to get out of it

Good old trump is back. I think if Erdogan administration plays it wisely, they can work out a permanent solution to US aspect of Syria situation with trump admin. @Kartal1 @Rooxbar @Sanchez
I think the conceptions and attitudes in Pentagon and the state dpt. towards the issue are too entrenched, and Trump's convictions on the matter do not seem to be that forceful to uproot those entrenched institutional roots. At the end of the day, on the ground realities and what cards we have to play against YPG, and with HTS or the new government will be the determining factors. They have to be made uncomfortable enough to give up all of the interests they have over there or be forced to transfer it to some other player. That will only be achieved if we play hardball, otherwise you have no leverage.

PKK forces, amidst the ceasefire, have started combing operations on SNA fighters that resulted in the death of around 37 fighters and injuring many more while Turkey is still reluctant to fight...... insane

Rumors are emerging that an imminent operation is coming following the current ceasefire; so lets see

Colani said, "There are two solutions for Hasakeh and Raqqa, there is no third option; either they will withdraw or there will be a military operation. If there is going to be a military operation, we are ready. However, we are waiting to prevent bloodshed."
