I am assuming the goal is just Aleppo and not Damascus? Can they deal with the bombardment from artillery, aviation, drone and maybe chemical attacks if they come later?
There is visual proof of Opposition forces eating doner kababs in the center of Aleppo. The fighters even reached the Aleppo citadel.

If you say so, but what's the goal here? Assad is in Damascus and that is like 350+ kilometers away. Are they just going to stand in Aleppo and get bombarded or will they move to more places? I am assuming the operation will be limited because the FSA before was more well supplied.

Assad is in Moscow. But after Aleppo, who know how it can end. Maybe the full country will end up fighting Assad again

Did a Ukrainian source tell this or it came in a dream? Damascus is like 350kms away even the Russians managed to take 20% of Ukraine when the war started. They are going to have to get bombarded by Russian and Syrian aviation by the time they reach Damascus.
If they are still fucking around in Aleppo than I dont think they have sufficient forces to reach Damascus

I will probably give a few months or maybe a year for the SAA to go retake some shit as usual. Things are already beginning to wrap up in Ukraine since mobilization will be lowered to 18 for the Ukrainians and Zelensky today was talking about ceding land to Russia. They better hurry up.

We can expect Aleppo and surrounding to be secured from artillery range and even a future no fly zone over it. Also expect a push south from Bab-Tadef line. Cutting Tal Rifat off completely. And in the end reach the western banks of Euphrates. Aleppo is the crown.

After that, with the morale boost they got, they can even push Hama and Homs lol.

Russians and their airforce failed to stop the offensive.

Shows us how bogged down they are in Ukraine.

Another problem regarding Turkiye is their passiveness and inaction.

Iranians and Hezbollah are not as effective as they are fighting Rebels or the Israelis.

My God the Assad regime left all on its own can easily crumble. What makes it worse that they suffered the most casualties and their soldiers all fled. Its not a 2012 situation where Assad was nearly gone but shows us once again that his regime is on life support.
Sometimes I wonder if firing ATACMs at Russia was within Ukraine's calculation to get hit with 90 missiles and 100 shahads. I wonder if it was within the SNA and HTS calculations that ordinances were going to drop on their heads?
Aleppo alone already looks like a struggle.

If they are still not heading to Damascus yet, then I think everyone's celebration might be short-lived and I will try not to laugh at anyone later.

Copium is embedded on Russian DNA. Do you remember how they couldn't admit they that initial push to Kyiv failed in March 2022?

All I can tell is that the terrorists sent some advance units forward into the city after affecting local breaches in SAA lines. That doesn't mean anything. These units will have to be supplied else they will have to vacate. SAA reinforcements will take the perimeter of the city under control and then anti-terrorist operations will be launched to flush out whatever Islamists opted to stay.

Hamas also broke relatively quite far into Israeli territory on October 7th but it wasn't able to stay anywhere there; these were quick raids.

If SAA lines collapsed then we'd see a lot of SAA taken prisoner. Nothing like that has happened. They retreated where they needed to and nothing of value was lost.

Reports suggest that there are a lot of reserves behind the initial terrorist strike force with some vehicles and so on but I can't see them occupying and digging into territory that quickly, never-mind organizing supply-lines.
These aren't some fields and villages in Kursk we're talking about but Aleppo, the largest city of Syria. There is no benefit to letting them make themselves at home.

Defeating SAA and affiliated militias is going to be easy. My concern is the aftermath; FSA infighting and extremist groups fighting for supremacy.
