According to Prof doc. Aksit

We started working with TR Motor ourselves, TR Motor is the project manager and we provide engineering support. The development cost of this engine is 7-10 billion dollars in the world. Our engine will cost 3-5 billion dollars.

Side info :

TR Motor
TRMotor power system San. A.Ş. was established on April 20, 2017 by SSTEK A.Ş., a wholly owned subsidiary of the SSB, to carry out design and development activities in the field of turbo engine technologies in line with Turkey's needs. It is aimed to design and develop a new generation engine to meet Turkey's aircraft engine needs. Our company is 100% owned by Tusaş.
So help me get this right pls....
SSB owns Tusas and Tusas owns both TR Motor and 51% of TEI, is that right?
TEI will provide their experience to TR Motor to build the engine so that it becomes fully state owned under SSB?

The national engine is planned to be delivered in 2028 for flight tests. If everything goes as expected the first MMU with the national engine will be delivered in 2030.

TUSAS turkish abbreviation (Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii AŞ). TAI is abbreviation Turkish Aerospace Industries . Same company :D

Tusas ownership
Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV) (54.49%), (SSB) (45.45%) and Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK) (0.06%).

As for TEI : It created by TAI / TUSAS as Tusaş Engine Industries in 1985 it's company after f-16 deal. it's TAI/TUSAS (50.5%) General Electric (46.2%) TAFF and Turkish Air Force (3.3%) .

so 46.2 GE foreign .. Because of F-16 and engine.

Tusas under subsidy by SSB founded a company (TRMOTOR) which 100% TUSAS/TAI . a Turkish company specialized for development of jet engine for KAAN.

As new world order abbreviation, S.A. or SA designates a type of limited company . tend to create branch companies to form more security and easy controllabilities.

Basically Turkish Armed Forces owns majority :D

TFX engine timeline depends totally on TEI"s performance, they can very well shorten the timeline.
Aksit was literally implying that it will be extremely hard to make it happen but we will try. And you say they might they can very well shorten the timeline. Thats hilarious

100 F110 is planned to be bought from GE. There are ongoing negotiations to produce them in TEI at least some of them under GE license. 40 KAAN block 10 is planned to be delivered and it is planned to switch to the national engine starting from 41. fighter(block 20). 100 engines are enough for 40 KAAN+prototypes+spare engines. If the F-16 block 70 project is given a go the number of engines might be increased to 150.

Any possibility that KAAN will get F-22-like engine in the future?
The state wants them to hurry for Tf35K, so Mr Akşit says that as they did in the Ts1400 (6 years from design to first flight), the most difficult tech leap is required from us. He mentions that there will be features that a few engines have in the world in terms of features of Tf35K

Do you mean nozzles? Because we are already trying to produce a similar engine. I highly doubt that nozzles are a priority right now. I don't think they are planned for block 10 or 20. Maybe for later blocks and iterations of the engine who knows?
