That has nothing to do with budgets.
It was stated from the beginning that the end design will end up being smaller in size. Which is an advantage for stealth aircraft and a show of the capabilities of squeezing all the equipment in there.
Lighter weight, more compact, and lower RCS.
I wasn't serious about the budget cut, I just used it as the only plausible excuse, feigning ignorance, you normally want a big plane carrying big loads.

We should use the current US-EU situation to draw in EU customers. Of course, there will need to be a delicate balance not to piss off the US too much when we still rely on them for engines.

No country in Europe would even look at Kaan until TF35K is ready and has flown. Even then it would be a very tough sell for majority of them (not that majority of them would be interested in it) because there is an inherit push against anything and everything when it comes to us. And younger lads might not remember but it isn't just because of the current government either (they haven't helped with it either, mind you), they can go tomorrow and most of the issues would still remain.

I can't see anyone but maybe Spain and Portugal being interested, unless there is a massive fallout with the US and F-35 supply/support chain, even then, only if no reliable alternatives are available at all.

I had predicted 48 Kaan for UAE, firm decisions can be made after the initial flight tests this year.

KAAN is projected to go into the serial production in about 4 years.
Of course with the help of European defense companies, KAAN wouldn't have any problems with the engines, testing of the systems, weapons and avionics. Besides it could be a lot cheaper.
Of course, the most logical thing for Europeans would to get, let's say just 150 to 200 aircrafts till European next generation of planes fly. Moreover, they can use it as experience and have Turkiye cooperate in the future projects
Years saved and probably 20bn.
I am not holding my breath , though.

With Emiratis as a user, there's a non zero chance that Kaan will be used against us. It happened in the past with other stuff we sold. There are simply untrustworthy and do not deserve Kaan with all its capabilities.

They will buy from someone else and be their slaves, we don't want that. You can take precautions to prevent smart weapons from being used against us allowing only defensive use of the weapons. We may as well embed our professionals in the UAE as overseeing consultants making sure unwanted hands never touch our systems.

There are no such systems in place. That's not how any of this works.

Again, this is why US is not selling F-35s to us or UAE and why Israel is trying their damnest to make sure US doesn't sell us F-35s.

It is your system you can make your stipulations, the US made stipulations that were never acceptable for us. You can disallow even the use of CNC machines if the system is modified from its set up positions. You can even geofence systems allowing use only around homeland, disallowing being positioned far away. They will still be usefull to the user.

LoL

UAE is the zionists off the Gulf. They are pair with the geo politics with dirty genocide country israel. Destablizing muslims countries in the Middle East and Africa. They buy Chinese Shorad systens abd send it to Sudan, so RFS can use it. Remember the butchering off civicilians in Sudan. Finance various terror groups in Somalia, second country who recognize Somaliland after israel is UAE!!!

I do not to write about funding pkk, they have finances Algeria MAK terror groups, Haftar and the last they are in clash with KSA in Yemen Hadrhamouet. Sponsoring another terror group.

LoL and still want to sell KAAN?

Selling Kaan to uea is give it away to israel.

You should ask yourself, why is uae destabilizing muslim countries and you want a part off it?

It depends on software programming.
