President Erdoğan was wearing a tie featuring KAAN motifs at the AK Party Group Meeting today. It seems the maiden flight of the P1 prototype is just around the corner we might even see it take to the skies on October 29, Republic Day.

I think it's just a matter of hours.

I doubt they'll wait until Oct 29, though. Most people are expecting it then, and with that much attention on a (relatively) high-risk test, any hiccup would be magnified. It makes more sense to fly on a quieter day.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of the TUSAŞ attack, and I can't think of a better way to honor the memory of those we lost and the spirit born that day: "we will work harder, we will produce more."

Godspeed!

Either tomorrow or on 29th is my best guess, would make sense if it was tomorrow since it is a memorable day and not to forget the motto of our engineers after that brutal attack "Hainlere inat daha fazla çalışacağız, daha fazla üreteceğiz" would be nice to wake up tomorrow morning to a video titled "Hainlere inat daha fazla çalışacağız, daha fazla üreteceğiz" by TAI and see P1 make its maiden flight.

Even if they planned it for today, weather would not let that happen
They say that in Turkey, during times of drought, people gather to offer a collective plea to the heavens—asking for the mercy of rain. This is known as *yağmur duası* (a prayer for rain). Perhaps we, as fans of the KAAN, should also offer up our own kind of "prayer"—a "KAAN *dua*," if you will? 🙂 I could compose a text so moving that the staff at TUSAŞ would be brought to tears and roll every single KAAN aircraft they have out onto the runway! 🫢

I came to this forum because of KAAN.
It seems you’re new here; perhaps that’s why my slightly playful tone wasn’t taken the way I intended.
I don’t speak English—maybe the translation wasn’t entirely accurate?
In any case, the moderators can easily remove any inappropriate post.
