Before becoming Arabised most of Egypt was hellenised thanks to the Greeks and Romans.
Egyptian dna proves their dna still comes from ancient times. The various conqerors and invaders were small in number they could never displace them.

Egyptians are Arabised natives.
Egyptians are originally not Arab.
They became Arabised over time. Egypt is an Arab country due to them speaking Arabic and calling themselves the Arab republic.
An Egyptian can still be proud of his ancient roots while also being proud of his Arab heritage and culture.
Egyptians also carry dna not just from Arabs but Greeks, Romans and Turks.
Egypt also has a big community of Turks that lived there for centuries. We still have not made any proper contact with them which is a shame.
The ruling dynasty which Gamal Nasser overthrew was Turkish.
