So my posts regarding the building of Mariupol are deleted and I'm not allowed to post them in the Russia-Ukraine war thread.
I think what a great idea to create a separate thread about the rebuilding of Mariupol, which I couldn't find in almost (if not) ALL Western media but I do see a lot in niche channel.
Background
The siege of Mariupol began on 24 February 2022 and lasted until 20 May, as part of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It saw fighting between the Russian Armed Forces (alongside the Donetsk People's Republic People's Militia) and the Ukrainian Armed Forces for control over the city of Mariupol in southeastern Ukraine. Lasting for almost three months, the siege ended in a victory for Russia and the Donetsk People's Republic, as Ukraine lost control of the city amidst Russia's eastern Ukraine offensive and southern Ukraine offensive; all Ukrainian troops remaining in the city surrendered at the Azovstal Iron and Steel Works on 20 May 2022, after they were ordered to cease fighting.

“We are now working in those territories where hostilities have recently taken place, including, say, in Mariupol. The work is going quite actively. We need to do everything to prevent people from ending up on the street. The government has such an instruction,” Putin said at meeting with members of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights.
The head of state expressed hope that the residents of Mariupol see the efforts being made. He clarified that funds are allocated both from the federal budget and from the budget of a number of regions, including St. Petersburg. Putin added that St. Petersburg specialists are working quite energetically in Mariupol. “But a program to support and restore housing in general in these new territories, of course, needs to be created. We will do this without fail and through various channels we will help people restore their rights, including the rights to a normal human life, housing rights,” He cocluded.
