Tunisia to deploy helicopters, troops to UN MINUSCA

The Tunisian military is set to be deployed to the Central African Republic under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).

Speakers of the Tunisian Parliament today approved the decision to send Tunisian troops to the Central African Republic.
Tunisia will contribute to the UN mission three helicopters, and 120 troops (including pilots and technicians) and a team of Special Forces.

Early this month, several countries called for the UN to increase advocating for more financial assistance for CAR to support governance, humanitarian, and development priorities.

In April 2014, the United Nations Security Council authorized Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization MIssion in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) with the protection of civilians as its utmost priority, after concerns regarding the security, humanitarian, human rights and political crisis in the country was raised.

According to the UN, by next year 2.8 million Central Africans – more than half of the population – will need humanitarian assistance and protection. The Central African Republic is also one of the most dangerous countries for humanitarians in the world.

I don't think Egypt or Turkey have what Tunisia asked for
Well, Turkey offered a offering that didnt match what Tunisia wanted because it was offering Kalkan II which did not meet the specifications of the contract.

In the future maybe though it could be a possibility.

Egypt could possibly have met the contract for the 2 medium range radars but lacks a long range radar that could have met the contracts need for now.

Tunisia had requested long range radar (350km) and medium range radar(200km) but Aselsan joined tender with Kalkan-2 that has a range of 120+km so couldn’t meet requirements. Aselsan developed a long range AESA radar called TEIRS that has a range more than 500km but this radar will be delivered in 2021. Other strategic S band AESA radar AIRS (~200km) which is being developed to detect low flying stealth targets will join into inventory in 2022. A giant radar with thousand of km range will be revealed soon.
