Turkey can rebuild the Beirut port

Saad Hariri, who was assigned to establish the government in Lebanon, had a 2-hour meeting with our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at noon today. Regional developments and relations between the two countries were discussed. Another remarkable detail in Hariri's sharing is the subject of "reconstruction". As you know, a serious destruction occurred in Lebanon due to the Beirut port explosion.

Most Lebanese hate us Turks so much so I only hope that Turkey won’t rebuild it for free as a charity or as a gesture of good will. Turkey should rebuild it only of it gets paid to do it or gets a fat economic deal out of it.

But most probably if it happens it will be built with funds from Turkey’s taxpayers and the contract will be given to companies close to the Government so some guys will fill their pockets well again.
