we lost a lot of time with partnering western companies. We lost 6 years talking and gathering.

I remember when Faruk Aksit talking about making engine for the first time about TFX engine project when he was new 10 years ago. He told back then if we start now we will able to make it in 14 years. We are 10 years later and we started the project :D.

Obviously all the time we were thinking Kaan engine development was not commissioned it actually was.

Atak 2 was like a huried move for the elections. It was like a flying skeleton. I don’t think it can be delivered so soon. KE and Anka3 deliveries would be good though

Anka2 is Aksungur, Atak2 is a helicopter Anka3 is to b delivered around the end of this year.

135th Fleet became Group Command!

The 135th Personnel Rescue (PK) and Forward Air Controller (IHK) Fleet Command within the Air Forces Command has been upgraded to 'Group Command' status.

Under the Group Command, the 136th Close Air Support and Courses Fleet Command was established.

Mod 5/S also provides encrypted GPS location info, so a nice addition to very needed airborn situational awareness as well

So does that mean that there will be two different units with specialization in CSAR and FAC instead of the old system where 135th's personnel is specialized in both and is tasked with both?

irst better than radars for detection against stealth fighters on some stiuations

Cool. I worked at level 4 maintenance factory this is TAF 5th Main Maintenance Factory Directorate in Ankara. Hopefully software and all hardware will become nationalized in the future. They are still using Italian Leonardo software for maintenance tests. Still this is a bit better example of NATO cooperation.

As far as i know there are units within the 135th specializied in CSAR and FAC/TACP.

But this unit is a mystery after the coup they changed their name from MAK* (Muharebe Arama Kurtarma) to AKIP (Arama Kurtarma Ihtisasli Personel) and now they go by the name PK (Personel Kurtarma) and since then there is no clarity.

* for the people who don't know, not to mistaken with the MAK within the Special Forces Command.
