T-155 YAVUZ Howitzer developed by one of our members YOL-BAK company with MKE Institution successfully completed the field and firing tests.
In the tests carried out in the second half of May 2021, the T-155 YAVUZ delivered 6 consecutive shots to the target with a deviation of only 1 meter.

YOL-BAK: weapon and fire control software, all engineering activities including the superstructure, armored double cabin, all the hydraulic system including the software, analyzes and designs were completed in accordance with all military standards.

Can anybody believe that statement? “ 6 consecutive rounds delivered with only a deviation of 1m. “ ?
Even Excalibur shells are not that accurate!
Whoever wrote that article needs to get his head examined.
Even with the new ”Mesafece duzeltme system” that Roketsan has introduced they only managed better than 30 metres CEP. (The stated CEP of this system is 50m.) If our artillery systems are so accurate why does Roketsan bother with range correction kits for artillery?

50m CEP means : 50% of rounds will end up in the darkest green central area of 50m radius. Some may be as far as 150 m away from the very centre, where the target is.
Bottom picture shows a 20 hits distribution.

Do our artillerymen get direct fire training? I think such training would had been useful during the early stages of cross border operations in Syria. There have been times T155 were exposed to observable cross border threats. T155 could had neutralized these threats with direct fire support in some cases.

They didn't claim a CEP of 1m. CEP is a statistical guarantee and is given at maximum range. 6 shots in 1m at an unknown range just means the Yavuz is very accurate in those firing conditions.

CEP is also usually overstated. See for example the CEP spec of MAM-L and compare that the the accuracy shown in the hundreds of videos we've seen (<1m).

I think yol-bak only modifies the cabin and other modifications and integration of mechanical systems to the chasis yet they are advertised as if the manufacturer of the whole platform collaborating with MKEK.

In fact they are a subcontractor of the project, not a "collaborator".

I am sure this is due to the bad intentions of a few people, though i don't want to imply the company has managed this to happen, or ignorance of the ones who is leasing this information the the media, specifically social media.

1 meter accuracy is not really practical for indirect fire with unguided munitions. It was either direct fires to test stability and consistenct of the mechanical systems, direction mechanisms or the quality of the barrel and artillery.

I think many companies in Turkey are still underestimating the value of proper marketing.

I doubt 80-90% of them understands the value of promoting their products and hunting for more customers.

They should hire foreign specialists to implement marketing and even proper websites ffs.

No they are not claiming CEP of 1m. It is better than 1m CEP if all fall within 1m diameter.
I remember during our live tests in Burdur during July, where my MIT Physics Doctorate bodies did all the calculations; they managed to hit the 5-7 km targets on the slopes of the hills all within 10m to 15m accuracy with 105mm and 155mm field guns. Ranking officers, congratulated my bodies as that was the first time in the history of the brigade, such accuracy was achieved.
Short distance, well maintained guns, good weather conditions, very good calculations can give you good results. But not that good!
If the figures given are not representative of full range effectiveness, than it is misleading!

Yavuz may have sensors for charge/barrel temp, barrel deviation, environmental sensors and more, plus precision automatic aiming which could explain such high accuracy. These are absent in 105mm guns and older 155mm guns. Add in clear windless weather and it's not out of the realm of possibility IMO for a 1m group at 5-10km range.

Aselsan’s Tufan Rail Gun is still being developed.
Around two years ago they had achieved a muzzle velocity of 3000m/sec and broken the record in Turkey. This means the projectile was leaving the muzzle of Tufan at around 9 Mach, at hypersonic speeds.
At this sort of muzzle velocities and with the right aerodynamic geometry the projectile can reach over 300km range. And have an effective range of 150-200 km with a terminal velocity of 4-6 Mach. (BAE Systems has already produced such a projectile).
A 1kg projectile travelling at 6 Mach, has enough kinetic energy to go right through any ship’s hull.
If Aselsan were at a level to achieve 9 mach muzzle velocity 2 years ago, by now they must have come a long way.

All good until last point. Because of it i would never ditch internal combustion weapon pieces or at least until maintainance has less gap then nowl

Electric has 900 hrs vs 100 hrs with diesel; electric wins.

Electric vehicles especially full EVs have insanely long mean time between failures. If you buy an electric car you won't see a car mechanic for a long time other than things like tires, brakes, etc.

Wow .. hybrid has really impressive advantages ..but i have a question ..regarding the charging ports ..can they be movable generators ?

Their combustion engines are probably also generators so you do not need external generators. But still if you do not want to wear out its onboard engine/generator there can be external generators.
