It’s still 24th of October, here in the USA but considering the time difference it must be over in Korea by now. I brought this up because wondering about new deals, if any signed.

Coordination in aviation has been elevated to the highest level:
• TUSAŞ General Manager Mehmet Demiroğlu will also serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TUSAŞ Engine Industries Inc. (TEI), which operates in the field of aviation engines
• TUSAŞ and TEI are taking on critical responsibilities in the development and production of Turkey's national air platforms and their engines
• Demiroğlu, who has been the General Manager of TUSAŞ since June 2024, previously served as R&D Director and Deputy General Manager at BMC Power, which develops engines for land platforms
• He held positions as Turboshaft Program Directorship and R&D Directorship at TEI

Assan was sold to Roketsan for 471 million Dollars according to Sözcü. Looks like a best possible ending for a farcical and terrible situation. I was afraid it was going to be sold to a big holding with "connections" and get hollowed out.

Still a very bad move that will discourage further investment and innovation in the defence industry but at least we don't lose the massive capacity Assan was building.

If Roketsan keeps and increases Assan's portfolio which should be the plan since there was only one bidder at this "tender".

It is getting a:
- huge factory in Ankara that can produce millions of 155mm and six digit MK bombs

- Expolsive production factory in Kırkkale(same place Roketsan is building its Expolsive factory) that was projected to reach 500 million dollar in sales in 2026 but most likely didn't because of legal case.

- Astech RnD subsidary of Assan which worken on smart munitions. Not like Roketsan needs it but they had interesting concepts.

- very good automated heavy industry caapbilty. Assan was exporting turnkey MK bomb production factories

- Dynaflow, a south African fuze company Assan bought.

We get a:

- shell and bomb producer that MKE can't bully
