What is so important about this airport that Turkey has to secure it and that AKP is ready to sacrifice the lives of our soldiers for it?

Just pull out and stay neutral in the conflict- work with all parties in Afghanistan and try to stay on good terms with whoever gets on top. There is no need to stay in this swamp.

Similar to how rather poor countries take every chance to take part in UN missions, this is about prestige and in our case giving the Americans something to buy some goodwill.

I wonder if it is also related to the hundreds of Afghan refugees crossing into Turkey

PARIS, June 25 (Reuters) - Tensions with Turkey have eased over the last few weeks but European countries will remain cautious, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Friday.

"Tensions have eased in recent weeks", Macron told a news conference when speaking about Turkey.

"We will continue to be vigilant throughout the summer but also to re-engage in joint work", he added.

We all know, it’s a U.S Western trapp.
How it's a US trap when it was Erdogan who offered the deal?

And anybody knows what will Turkey get for this "service"? Erdogan wanted to talk with Biden without the entourages. Even our foreign minister was not with Erdogan at the second part of the meeting. Rumours say, he offered this "service" so, that Biden would hide his wealth. (Halkbank incident)

Whatever it is Turkey has not been vocal about the benefits for sure.

This was just an insanely fucking stupid thing to do. Kyrgyzstan was just warming up to Turkey and this action basically pissed away all of that goodwill just to grab...one possibly FETO guy. On the assumption that the Kyrgyz government is already infested with them, so this will literally do absolutely nothing to fix that and probably even strengthen FETO's position in Kyrgyzstan while making them even more hostile to Turkey.

Turkish government's approach towards eliminating FETO members internationally was always insanely short-sighted and moronic, like MIT thinks they are in a freaking Assassin's Creed game hunting Templars. And that's assuming that all of those were legit targets and not just guys that Erdogan had it out for, which for some reason most Turks are completely unwilling to consider unless they are literal PKK sympathizers because Gulenist. Not like Erdogan was in bed with Gulenists before and is still following their playbook to Islamize Turkey.

Basically, my point is that this was the single dumbest foreign policy decision Turkey could've made regarding Kyrgyzstan and is gonna be extremely difficult to walk back and probably considerably shattered Kyrgyzstan's trust in Turkey and their willingness to align in the Turkic Council.

nah, they really havent explained why Turkish soldiers should guard this airport and before that, I agree, that we shouldnt be there. First explain the motivation of guarding that airport and then we can decide if we support it or not, right now this all seems to be rushed by NATO-boy Akar for whatever reason.

GTFO of this country and kick all Afghans out of Turkey.
Seeing photos of Afghan refugees waving Taliban flags in Turkey while threatening our troops, are you nuts or what?
