Doesn't work because of numerous undetected exits, sometimes kilometers away. At least that's what I think the reason is. AFAIK they use those smaller hidden exits as a way of infiltration. Hard to keep watch 360 degrees 7/24 everywhere, no fixed frontline. Our army truly deserves praise for handling such unforgiving consequences.

Pkk has now relocated to Iran as Qandil is no longer the protective fortress as it used to be.

Pkk has always used Iran to be safe as Turkiye never striked Iranian territory.

You need a full scale operation, not dropping some teams over PKK "wartunnels" and besiege them, our soldiers have not really much cover and are within enemy territory, they know where the helicopters dropped the teams, they have all their supplies in the tunnels so they wait it out and coordinate attacks with other terrorists around on our troops.

It makes more sense to build fortified outposts, with reconnaissance equipment and scan areas where terrorists are present and coordinate airstrikes to eliminate them.
