Britain's cash-strapped Navy 'may be forced to sell off its £3.5 billion aircraft carrier the HMS Prince of Wales' amid funding issues

What's the chance? :unsure::unsure::unsure:
It's fucking Daily Mail mate, you'd be better off believing transfer news coming from Fanatik or Fotomaç.

We don't need aircraft carriers to protect our country, that doesn't even make sense. Aircraft carriers are for projecting power far away from your country, not staying close to it.

And about F-16s being controlled via their computers stuff, you need a reality check mate. That's not how anything works.

I'm not really defending his point, but if US wanted to put a backdoor entry or killswitch to complex and closed digital systems in any of its advanced weapons, it would probably be trivial effort for them.

Al Doha Class cadet training/OPV ships are not something huge or very special, but I think they would be a simple and not so expensive design as a training ship for the navy. Anadolu already built 2 of them back to back and very fast. Put a 30mm gun on the bow, work it as an OPV when needed. It'd be a great addition to train sailors, not just Turkish but now Somali as well.

No project cost was made public. From a quick skim, most I could find was a 800 million dollar figure for all the projects signed by Turkish companies in Dimdex 2018, which also include 200+ NMS from Nurol, 85 Kirpi and Amazon from BMC, 6 TB2s from Baykar, 9 boats up to 50 meters from Ares and 8 MRTP-24s from Yonca Onuk.

So the number don't mean anything :)

Levent close in air defense system rocket on display in full size. I wonder if the canisters can be refilled during mission or it requires a port visit like the MIDLAS.

RAM and SeaRAM can be reloaded while underway. They have a simple winch and pulley system. Being a CIWS, it's a necessary capability.

New Levent mockup has double the front fins over the one shown in Idef last year and in a 2022 presentation btw. It's maturing.
