Has there been any analysis anywhere of possible locations for Turkey future spaceport? No location is generally given where I looked briefly other than such facility is upcoming:

“For this purpose, we are establishing a microsatellite launch facility in our country. We support the satellite development activities of our public institutions, universities and private sector,” the president noted.
If I were Turkey I would choose with future in mind as much as possible (i.e ability to ramp the facility up size to mid launch size at least).
Turkey is constrained in such endeavour by geography somewhat, but here are two sites I think will be good for mid-sized future launch as the launch bearing window is goverened by:
- As close to east as possible (for maximum velocity imparted by earth rotation)
- Population zones (thus open sea needed etc) for 1st (and maybe 2nd) stage debris field.
With this in mind I figure these are two potential sites Turkey can look at (with mid-size in mind):

Purely due south launch can be looked at for 2nd site too, if Turkey wants to do polar inclination only.
Having micro-sat only (thus small rocket only) opens up lot more options of course, depends how Turkey pursues the strategy here.
More on this field's details I posted earlier (2nd part especially):
