The CATS, weighs 60 kg and the MX-15D weighs 45-49 kg.
With spotter, without spotter do you know the E/O payload has its own sensor and laser designator payload within its case?

Update your sources to bolster your 'credibility' on the subject. You are using numbers from 2 years ago. Just to make your point.

Ağırlık 61kg
*From brochure of two years ago.
A year to 1.5 years ago they have said it is less than '59'
About six months ago they have marked less than '56' at somewhere.

"Look i have googled and this numbers came up, i am very creditable and Turkish community in this forum is so dumb making up numbers".

Ağırlık 61kg, my source is directly from ASELSAN.

ASELFLIR-F500C’nin 56 kg olan CATS sistemine göre 6-7 kg daha hafifleyerek 50 kg civarında daha rekabetçi bir ağırlığa erişmesi planlanıyor

It is less than 56 currently.

Your source is from Aselsan's page that is made 2 years ago, or when the product first came out in 2019.

Again, Things are "developed" in Turkey, you should get used to things being " Developed". :)

F500C is going to be less than 50kg, with better capabilities compared to Wescam in same weight range, revisit the thread when F500C is introduced in 2022.

Another brochure from Aselsan says less than 59.

It is from 2019, if you are in this forum spare some time to read what people are trying to explain to you instead of repeating the same thing over and over. Otherwise if you think what you think is true then simply post it in twitter and disable the comments.

In another brochure from 2020 Aselsan marks it as "<59 kg".

In 2021 it is made to be 55-56 kg.

Don't fight for nothing, for what is obvious. We are not here to tell you lies and convince you on that.

If you want to believe it is 61 kg, then believe it. Just dont enforce it is the 'truth'.

Same page in Turkish, for God's sake stop this.

From Aselsan, likely 2020;

It says "<59" are you so blinded with your ideology that you can not even think of a product can be improved over time?

If the weight of CATS compromises TB2 so much, how come it has now the new CATS and 4 x MAM-L under it’s belly instead of the 2 x MAM-Ls it was carrying originally?
Surely something has improved!!

No other sub-forum of the other states creates this aggressive confrontation within the Defense Hub. Akritas user to stop being provocative, if he does not like the views of some here is respectable and logical (as i do not like some) but deliberately provoking the Turks every time in their own subforum is a faul. The same applies to the Turks who visit the Greek subforum, they know who i am referring to .....! Above all ☮️

This is the most reputable defense publication in Turkey and they quote Turkish officials. The figures from Aselsan's website is from years ago.

In the article they also mention the upcoming Aselflir-500 will weigh 50kg which is less than MX-15D's 51.4 kg.

Just a thought - what is the likelihood of TB2s being equipped with 2x Sungur under one wing and a enemy arial detection/tracking device of some sort under the other? This would give TB2 operators some much needed A2A capabilities to counter enemy drones, helicopter and low-flying attack aircrafts. Such a configuration would also provide some protection for other TB2s in the A2G configuration.

I would say that is most likely already in development as that was the goal of Sungur, short range AA to be used on drones.

Great - such a capability would get many current TB2 operators to add a few more TB2s to their inventories. It would also kick-start SUNGUR exports and facilitate widespread adoption in many land forces.

Yeah but there is one catch; you need to put one Sungur under each wing as you would knock off the spanwise balance of the plane when you drop two Sungurs from one side while you still have the sensor package of similar weight on the other side.

Wouldn't you be able to manage that while returning to base? I mean, once the two missiles are fired the mission is over for that vehicle in 99% of the cases. Another option would be to replace the CATS with the sensor package and then have 4x SUNGUR

I don't fully understand what you try say will be the problem.

However, like you say they will most likely place a Sungur (around 10kg) on each wing for initial weight balance but similar unbalance problems already occurs when they use just one MAM-L (22kg) so they must have 2 Sungur on one wing already covered. Keep in mind that Sungur (=Stinger) is man-portable so they are very light.

Concerning sensor pack, they might add a small AESA radar similar to what the Polish do to their TB2 for some applications but I think they will primarily use IIR/optical cameras (tailbom or FLIR) for the TB2/Sungur combo due to the very limited range of Sungur.
