And in both cases the main takeaway is that warfare doctrines changes so fast. It’s a paradigm shift.
You adopt your approach just to realize that your opponent came up with technologiCal feat to discard your freshly implemented tactics.
This turned into an infinite loop.

My two cents is that neither tanks nor drones are dead. Not yet anyways.
They simply try adopting to this fast pace change on a static battlefield. On a daily basis.

I still believe that at a fast and very concerted multi dimensional warfare situation both tanks and various drones would be very lethal and decisive as rapid strike elements.

Neither will lose their place on the battlefield, not until the entire battlefields are completely unmanned and every meter is covered by AD. Tanks are necessary to provide cover, fire support and hunt other armour, and drones are useful for reconnaissance and strike on targets of opportunity at worst and proper targets at best with stand off munitions.

I do expect changes in both tanks and drones, or rather a more distinct separation than we have today, the same way there used to be light and heavy tanks before main battle tanks became the norm as a compromise between different needs.

Again, As I underlined at my post, these assets written off due to a wrong campaign. Static battlefield !
Both sides are adopting these tools to a static frontline, except few pockets of meat grinders.

So, yeah, they are not dead as opponents of both weapons claim. They‘ll change, evolve and will survive in some form.

Right! You can bring a switchblade to a battlefield and create a tactic to support a switchblade brigade with various assets and organize, fight to achieve your goal as long as elements move in unison.

Eurodrone project is in the freezer and I don't think even with the new barrage of funding they will be able to get it going again. Smart countries like Spain, Italy and hopefully Britain will start moving towards more collaboration with Turkey as we are right now the most dynamic country in the entire continent. They can get a lot of bang for their buck and we can get some good money and relations.

I'm waiting to see how our decision makers will F this one up.
