Somalia is set to receive Türkiye’s cutting-edge Bayraktar Akıncı combat drones on Tuesday, March 18, to bolster the Somali National Army (SNA) in its fight against Alshabab in the Middle Shabelle region.

The Turkish game-changer UAV, Akıncı drones, has just arrived in Mogadishu. Inshallah, this will mark the beginning of the end for terrorists in #Somalia. We thank our brothers and sisters from #Türkiye for their unwavering support.

Baykar and TAI will deliver x amount of Kızılelma and Anka III this year to TurAF. Airforce will test and experience the UCAVs and provide feedback.

Can someone explain to me please, as to how it is possible to deliver without Toygar, Karat? Murad is also missing from Kızılelma. This is the case for Hürjet too.

Kizilelma still seems to be in early development, Toygun EOTS and Murad AESA haven't even been integrated, and we haven't even seen internal weapon bay tests

I suspect it will still be developed further but there is no greater feedback then it being actively used and tested by the armed forces. Seems like a fairly normal practive imo. Probably early production models but not indicative of the full production version.

Considering Kizilelma hasn't even had any weapon tests yet or integration of any optical system, what point would it even serve in TuAF?
Anka-3 is in far further development, and TuAF can put it to use in hostile airspaces of Syria and Iraq to test its stealth capabilities.
