The real front runners which are Joby Avition and Archer, Volocopter and Lilium including eHang have passed the billion dollar mark in market value but the leading flying car people are looking down on Lillium and eHamg. And Volocopter with its slow speed has no chance either. And the Archer has just been sued in the past couple of week for stealing Wisk companies trade secret and engineers. The only promising company is Joby Aviation and even they are suspicions to succeed because of probable battery endurance issues. The only design that can succeed in the next several years is one that has not hit the eyes yet. A hybrid design surely.

And I have it, at least the all important propulsion design and the rest is trivial.

That's not only the case for Baykar, no one will have a flying car before 15 years.

It is not about the tech to make it fly but all the regulations to ensure safe flights that are non existing. Otherwise the demonstrator of Baykar is already flying
Regulations are changing.
The hottest topic nowadays for any flying car company is to establish certification basis. Which defines what conditions a flying car need to satisfy to be considered safe to fly and carry passengers. There are around 3-4 companies who have reached this level, which happened just recently. After that all the company has to do is to make its vehicle meet that condition. The good thing is aviation safety authorities are now applying different criteria for different kind of vehicles instead of one size fits all. So every design has to satisfy somewhat different criteria.

And we are just looking from the sidelines sitting on our laurels when other countries are announcing their road-maps to achieve the next level in passenger aviation.

1. Does the TB2 Production continue (with Local Subsystems ASELSAN CATS and TEI PG115) or has production stopped ?

2. Do you perhaps know how many more drones will be procured ( TB2, AKINCI, ANKA S) ?

3. When will ANKA AKSUNGUR be delivered ?

4. Did you experience a bias towards Baykar from SSB, because it seems to us in this Forum that TUSAS Drones are not advertised as much. People were even talking about serious brain drain going as far to say that TUSAS ANKAs Entire team went abroad due to politics

TB2 production continues, as far as we know the Rotax engine is still used. Apparently no problem in deliveries.

I think Rotax is still preferred because PG-115 could be more expensive. And kept in the hand just in case it might be needed.

Meanwhile it is also told pg-115 was in service and still in service, do herons still operate?

I have sneaky suspicion that the PG115 is a reverse engineered Rotax 914, hence why TEI is so hush hush with it. Don't think they'll incorporate it into any export UAVs.
Herons are still in service.

The electric part becomes a dead weight once in the air not contributing to propulsion until it has to land.
There must be a better way where combustion engine with its mighty fuel capacity can contribute to lift.
Waiting for someone to invent.

Wouldn't the engine have an alternator ?

PD170 has two alternators @ 2 x 4,5 kW

Even if it did conversion losses would be too much.
Serial hybrid has those losses and can not really be implemented on small systems.
The PG50 has a pretty hefty alternator power for its size but still nowhere near enough for anything related to propulsion. A parallel hybrid is the way to go, I have recently designed such a propulsion waiting for verification which will never happen without support.
