I feel an excuse coming up why we do not have to build Altay

Can somebody tell him that UCAV's existed for decades before we made them, and tanks didn't get replaced as a result. This reeks of desperate excuse.

Not in that numbers. Not with that capability and that doctrines.

I heard that too which made no sense. It was supposed to fly at 2020 but gonna fly at 2025 ? What the reason of delay for 5 years?

There is something fishy here, maybe we will learn in the future.

Maybe western sanctions have hit their plans. These were the guys who came out saying everything was indigenous only to find out that even basic items like fuel pumps were brought from the west.

Mustafa Varank:

Thanks to the AUAVs, the tanks are of no importance.

I always thought this guy was clever!
But this statement is soooo wrong. All the enemy has to do is to deny you air supremacy and/or find a way to knock out your UAV’s. Then you are back to Tank warfare.
Tanks and armoured fighting vehicles are the backbone of a land force. They will evolve in time. And they are evolving. Better armour , better active protection, unmanned turret are some of the indications of this evolution. Stealthier and even unmanned versions may come fairly soon.
Modern warfare is evolving. Each decade we see something new being introduced in to the equation. Important thing is to keep up with that evolution and if possible be ahead of it.

We do not want China in our pkk conflict.

In some ways it would help Turkey though, because it will further divide PKK among a number of competing pimps. America, Russia, Europe, Iran, Assad, Israel, Saudis, UAE etc all support the pkk in one way or another, while all of them want the pkk to be their bitch. Get the chinese involved too and the americans will be angry with their proxy.

"We have made the 5th AKSUNGUR right now.
We will continue to the produce 2 per month till end of the year"

So, we will have around 19 Aksungurs in service by years end - with no idea on which forces will operate them...

That number is pretty high when we also count the other UAVs we have in inventory and the coming of Akinci, TB-3 and who knows what more TUSAS and Baykar will surprise us with

But they entered news 11 AM

Thinking the inventory and Akıncı/TB3 etc, 19 in a year is quite much, let's say 2 year production, at least 40 Aksungurs will be in the inventory which would be enough. I hope they can export it. And I think they should start with Navy, East Med where high endurance is important.

In my opinion, next iteration with Aksungur/Anka should be solar powered high altitude and high endurance version, like solar impulse. I see that potential in the design. A solar Powered Aksungur patrolling East Med for a week without landing would a gem.

Look it up chinese arms flooded the market in the middle east not to mention the pkk uses a lot of chinese arms.

In short China is either arming pkk directly or indirectly.

So yes we can help Taiwan.
