Ukraine and the United States will cooperate in the defense industry

Thanks to the agreement on cooperation in the defense industry, Ukraine will receive assistance in the implementation of innovative programs.
Ukroboronprom and the American Institute for Defense Analysis (IDA) signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen the partnership in the defense industry. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian state concern.
"The agreement provides for a strategic analysis of the defense industry of Ukraine specifically on the issues of reorganization and corporatization of the Concern, assistance in the implementation of innovative programs, consulting on the best corporate governance practices," the statement says.
The Institute for Defense Analysis is a non-profit organization that runs research and development centers, particularly on security and policy issues.
The scientific, technical and analytical experience of IDA in the context of reforming the military-industrial complex of Ukraine will help to introduce standards of corporate governance, efficiency, sustainability and transparency, Ukroboronprom stressed.
On the eve it was reported that Ukroboronprom will be engaged in the creation of combat robots. Military robots will perform logistic, reconnaissance and combat missions.
Prior to that, it became known that Ukraine began to produce ammunition for grenade launchers. They will be produced at a military plant in Shostka. In a few months, the first batch is planned to be sent to the army.
