It is stated that Ukraine will produce an air platform similar to Akinci UAV. Antonov will be the main developer of the project, which will be carried out on the initiative of Ukroboronprom. The subcontractors to be determined will undertake the development of electronic and related equipment.
Kiev is expected to use the AI-450 chassis and engine produced by Ivchenko-Progress in the UAV, which wants to quickly put the new platform into service. The aircraft, which is expected to have a take-off weight of over 3 tons, will be able to carry weapons up to 800 kg.
It was stated that Antonov presented the aircraft model with 1.4 tons of take-off weight and 6 tons of load capacity designed in 2018 for the project.
