Almost equal.50.9% women 49.1% men.Or in numbers 1 798 889 women,1 732 270 men.According to the last census in 2013.
No worries a lot of people seem to have that wrong impression,because of the 90's war.

Hard to tell while the war is going on.Both sides are not very objective,while third parties have no direct way to confirm so they only give general estimates,which kinda seem to be as close to the real numbers as you can get in this situation.

Quite true , but it seems that they have plenty of 60 mm, 82 mm and 120 mm heavy mortars and as @Relic posted they are getting 120mm mortar rounds as a part of new military aid
