The Russians naively thought the advance into Ukraine would be an easy walk,that the Ukrainian army would disintegrate and much of its soldiers lay down their weapons.... but turns out Ukrainians oppose a much better resistance than expected.... not understanding all of Ukraine is seriously hostile to Russia.... and that this crisis has united all the Ukrainians from all branches of the society to resist the invader....

Reality on the ground is that Russian troops do not coordinate to conduct intensive inter arms operations,they lack communications,they lack logistics,units don't know where they are heading where friends and foes units are..... conscripts who stayed weeks on Ukraine borders in the cold were fooled into the real intentions of their deployment..... And this is supposedly the "second strongest army in the world".

However I fear the strong resistance of the Ukrainians would desperate the Russians resulting in them leveling entire cities just like they did in Syria.... or Chechnya...
