Really ? Compared to the air campaign in Syria, it's been minimal. I think I am right regarding the strategy. Obviously however, there are civilian casualties regardless especially with Urban warfare. I am not discounting that or denying it.
In Syria the airspace is relatively safe. In all these years Russia has lost 26 aircraft in Syria, including accidents... Meanwhile in Ukraine:

So you are going to believe this propaganda bs?

146 tanks and 700 vehicles... lol COME ON... You can't be so ridicilous as to believe that lmao...

Ukraine is going full force with its propaganda machine showing footage of russian vehicles and helicopters shot or destroyed, and we have seen how many so far? They would have bombed us with the footage and photos by now if this was true, ive not even seen 30 different tanks destroyed or 100 vehicles, yet alone this absurd number.

China slowly putting pressure on Putin.

This won't end well for the man in Moscow. We might see a coup attempt soon.
They were referring to the US

"From the very beginning, China has taken a responsible attitude and persuaded all parties not to escalate tensions or incite war. I think what China is doing is very responsible. Those who follow the US’ lead in fanning up flames and then shifting the blame onto others are truly irresponsible. As the culprit, the person who started the fire should think about how to put it out as soon as possible."

In Ukraine, they are using older equipment and conscripts for the initial push and are not explicitly targetting civilian infrastructure, strategy seems to be to depose current government ASAP.

I also have a strong doubt on those numbers but I suppose we'll learn more in a few days. That being said, if those numbers are true, it's like 10% of 1/3rd of the force committed. They haven't even used the veterans or newer equipment and technology yet.

There are countless videos. Remember that drone strike videos are limited on purpose due to OPSEC.

Stop your bullshit.

Look at the facts, Russia massed around 150k troops, committed around a third according to the west, are entering Kyiv and the biggest estimate of losses are 4000 from the initial push with older equipment and conscripts.

Saying they are losing badly after taking a territory the size of Serbia in a few days is exactly how EU behaved when they didn't spend 2% of their GDP on their army as they 'wouldn't need it because there isn't a threat'.

Losses would be very heavy I'm guessing, no denying that.

I too think that they are using conscripts as cannon fodder... But VDV and Spetsnaz are present too. I'm going to guess we'll see more cruise missile and anti-radiation strikes before any large invasion force enters, as air superiority is needed as soon as possible. Airstrips and AA assets need to be destroyed if Russia wants to get the upper hand.

This was the same source which reported correct numbers in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war. I wouldn't be surprised if these numbers are correct too, this is a much bigger and faster paced conflict.

They are using their most advanced equipment and best soldiers. they've committed 75% according to latest estimates. They are getting trashed by Ukraine. Face the facts.

Yes of course, no denying it, we have seen various videos, but nowhere NEAR the claim of destroyed equipment, we have maybe seen 10-20% of the claim in actual videos.

Russia has

Around 1500~ battle aircraft

Around 300 Su-24
Around 200 Su-25
Around 300 Mig-29/35
Around 550 Flankers of various versions
Around 120 Strategic bombers

Around 1400~ attack helos of Ka-52/Mi-28/Mi-24/Mi-8/Mi-17

Around 3000 Artillery
Around 1100 Rocket Artillery
326 Iskander cruise missile launchers
Around 2000 Anti Air vehicles (Excluding S-300 etc)
Around 3000 Main Battle Tanks
Around 15.000-18.000 Armored Vehicles

Lets say Russia has around 40% available forces for the operation in Ukraine at the moment, so:

1300 tanks
8000 armored vehicles of all types plus AA
around 1800 Arty and Rocket Arty
around 600 attack helos
around 650-700 aircraft
And they do have 150.000 soldiers

Even if the figure of russian losses is half what Ukraine claims (which I doubt.. I would say its 1/3)

Thats like 5-7% of their land forces and like 2% of their air forces and 1-2% of their soldiers

Its not very high at all, and heavy fighting going on, im sure Ukraine lost a ton of equipment not only by missile strikes but also in battles, and yet they only seem to report Russian losses.

And im not with Russia at all, im against this and against this absurd war just to make it clear, im just trying to say that you guys are getting overly excited and that the situation is not looking as great as it might seem from only looking at it from this perspective and the ukrainian claims of russian losses.. I actually have a bad feeling about this all... but we will have to wait a couple of weeks to see how it all pans out.

No sane military strategist would do that. Russia's military doctrine does elicit the use of multiple echelons in their attacks, but the first third of these has already gone in and they aren't supposed to be the worst of the bunch but the best. Sending in the worst just gives their opponent more time and a morale boost and PR victory, and risks a morale collapse in their own forces, and for little to no benefit to them. It's just a silly idea that would never be used in a real war.

Syria is far away, they can murder to their hearts content, middle eastern life means nothing to russians. They do that in Ukraine and the nation becomes impossible to subdue and impossible to rule. Plus it will be the Russians that have to rebuild it.

Russians dont want to occupy en masse, that will bleed them dry. They want to install a puppet government and leave a few military bases. If they start killing everyone, men women and children to the level they have done in syria they lose. However we still are seeing civilians being murdered to a much smaller degree.

Also worth pointing out that Ukrainians are not behaving like the millions of arabs/kurds that fled into Turkey to live a good life, they are fighting and showing real honour to defend their land.

Ataturk once said, "a people that are willing to make the final sacrifice, does not get beaten."

geez, despite all you just said you still blame Syrian to flee from their home (or it was it used to be)?
Russian puppet gov, aka Assad, act much, much worse than their master. They slaughter, destroy and rape.
You what their famous slogan during the war?

"ASSAD OR WE BURN THE COUNTRY!"

In which they did!

Believe me, Ukrainians would also flee when faced with such atrocities.
