Unsurprising, one of Russia's main "secret" reasons for starting this war was to fix their ailing demographics by absorbing Ukraine.
Of course this was back when Russia still believed that Ukrainians would welcome them with open arms. They have achieved the opposite, deaths of thousands of Russian and Ukrainian youths who could've fathered future generations, now lost to history forever.
