Ok I am thinking of a way out of this situation for everyone. There has to be a way for Russia and the West to cooperate without so much conflict. We have to find a way of doing that, it will be part business compromise (freedom to do business), it will be part cultural compromise (freedom to exist as a culture) and part physical comporomise (borders). Since the nation-state was founded, I think the source of most modern conflict today is result from imperialism in one form or another. Imperialism creates very bad border situations. And to fix those situations, it may take a long time.
To move past nationalism we should form greater collectives to prevent future conflict.
So my solution is for both West and Russia to try different approaches with each other until they find some where they can cooperate and maintain a balance, maybe a good business relationship at first before moving to the other things.
