Also the fact that Russia is holding Iran hostage in the Iran Deal negotiations, saying they won't agree anymore for a deal unless Russia is exempt from sanctions in trading with Iran.

Literally a bear Hug! Russia is no longer after victory, nor a viable solution to this conflict. Neither is the bear trying to wiggle out of this desolate situation. Russian desire to involve proxies (if such claims hold water) is not an answer to international volunteers recruited by Ukraine, it would only mean a prolonged conflict at the doorstep of EU and Nato. Russia is simply testing the extend of Nato’s tenacity. I say get ready, for one other, never ending conflict in our time zone…
