Although there are negative comments, Ukraine and Germany have agreed a deal of 100 PzH 2000..

Why Ukraine didn't go for Polish AHS KRAB instead of German ones?
We did. Poland will sell Ukraine 55 AHS Krabs for $630 million + has given 18 existing AHS Krabs for free. Of the 55 to be sold some have already also been delivered to Ukraine.

Okay . i should have asked " if German PzH were too bad, Why Ukraine went for them and buys 100 "
Still 100 is more than 55. Ukraine could have signed a deal of 155 KRAB but The country insists on German howitzers.

İ mean there are alternatives like M109 paladin and KRAB but Ukraine wants 100 PzH 2000 so German howitzers can't be trash can.

Pzh2000 is an excellent system. The problem thats occured is some of them were fired way too heavily and fast (there is max burst and sustain fire limits one must respect and stay under).

That will happen to any artillery system if pushed beyond its design limits.

I hope you are aware that this is not a deal for this war (I dont think there is a deal, there is HOPE for a deal). That 100 PzH 2000 cant be produced before 2025.
KRAB are not alternative for the future. After Korea deal, we will produce K9.

As for now, Ukraine is taking all Krabs that are leaving factory. 3 days ago another 8 went there

But there is problem with all that 155mm. You can only shoot about 1000-1500 times and then you have to replace barrel. That means if you shoot only 20 times a day, after 2 months that gun is gone and needs replacement. And German PZ100 are not new, they can last even shorter then that.
US really need to send their Paladins, they have plenty of them.

Sophisticated internet bot farm operated by a russian national foiled by SBU in Kyiv.
5000 SIM cards, 200 proxy servers for IP masking.
Ukraine military-civilian leadership were targeted, & even the first lady. Intrigue: Op allegedly tied to former President Poroshenko.

I would be very skeptical of all accusations of Poroshenko being connected to Russian operations. As President he was very anti-Russian (more than Zelensky before the war) and accusations of his alleged Russian sympathies have been politically motivated nonsense.

Russian troops destroyed the Buk air defense system of the Ukrainian army.

Due to the large number of PFM-1 Lepestok mines in Ukraine, people began to destroy them with improvised means.

And what if they did sign a deal for 155 KRABS? Its a paper.
For now Ukraine got 18 Krabs and sign a deal for 54 more. The result is that they are getting EVERYTHING that is currently leaving factory as soon as possible. Theres no difference if they would sign 54 or 154, they would not get any more as we cannot produce more then about 50 a year (thats why WE want 600 K9). If they will get all KRABS and war is still on they will sign another deal and Krabs still will be going (or K9 if we wait till 2026)

All the other comparable systems Ukraine is using have lower limits than the PzH 2000 yet there are no complaints about those. This, in combination with similar fiascos with previous German weapons systems, means the German system has inflated specs and does not live up to its on-paper claims, and this is likely a systemic problem with German weapons systems.

Germans attach strings on their weapons sales because they are frauds. Know themselves in a combat situation their weapons will be exposed for being crap.

It truly amazes me just how much Soviet weaponry filthy Russia has
Just 2 days ago, 700 vehicles were delivered to Kherson, and then just yesterday Ukraine destroyed a major train supply and today another train is set to Kherson

As much as I hate Russia, I must give credit to the Soviet Union; the amount of weapons they produced at their time is nothing short of amazing. Russia is losing vehicles like candy and yet they are still being replaced albeit by a bit older models

Azerbaijan will provide Ukraine with QFAB-250 LG guided air bombs for the Su-25

The Kremlin is furious.

Azerbaijan's support for Ukraine in the war with Moscow may be much more serious than officially reported. Previously, Baku supplies Kyiv with QFAB-250 LG guided aerial bombs.

QFAB-250 LG is intended for use by Su-25 attack aircraft. Azerbaijan actively used these bombs during the last Karabakh war. They allow you to hit targets at a distance of up to 12 kilometers from the drop point with a deviation of only up to 10 meters, that is, it is a high-precision weapon.

With the help of these bombs, the Ukrainian aviation had the opportunity to carry out combat operations, being at the same time outside the zone of damage of Russian MANPADS and short-range air defense systems.

This laser-guided high-explosive munition with a total weight of 270 kg QFAB-250 LG is one of the latest joint developments between Azerbaijan and Turkey. By default, it is used by Su-25 attack aircraft, but it can also be used by other Soviet aircraft.

Guidance and targeting can be carried out using the Bayraktar TB2 attack drone, which is in service with the Ukrainian army.

Russians are unsurprisingly quite pissed at this:

Somehow it did not occur to these people that giving free weapons to Armenia for 30 years might backfire on them.

I decided to make a short review of the war so far.

1st Phase. 24 Feb - early March

roads.jpg

During this phase Russians advanced swiftly along the roads. They also managed to capture 3 largest cities in south virtually without fight: Kherson (290 K), Melitopol (150K) and Berdyansk (110 K) + encircled Mariupol (430 K).

2nd Phase. early March - early April.

roads2.jpg

Russian advance stalled. They started to establish control over territories around roads. In South and Luhanks area with sparcely populated areas and open plains Russians could easily establish control (especially since they already have captured largest towns there). However in north they failed to establish control. They suffered heavy casualties due to constant ambushes and eventually were forced to flee leaving hundreds of tanks and hundreds of other vehicles.

3rd Phase. Early April - early July.

roads4.jpg

After leaving north areas Russians decided to concentrate on east Donbass area. Thanks to huge artillery advantage they managed to take that purple area in about 3 months.

4th Phase. Early July - .....

Front has almost completely stalled. Russians still try to push here and there. Ukrainians try to push in Kherson area.

Russian air force was very active in 1st phase. But failed to achieve air superiority and now they mostly attack with cruise missiles. I dont expect big changed in this war.

Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant is out of control, says IAEA

The head of the United Nations' nuclear agency has said the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant in Ukraine is "completely out of control".

"Every principle of nuclear safety has been violated," Rafael Grossi told news agency Associated Press.
The site, held by Russian forces since early March, is Europe's largest nuclear power plant.
Mr Grossi said on Monday that his team had been ready to visit the plant for the past two months.
But they have so far been unable to carry out the mission, he said.
Meanwhile, a Russian-installed official in the Zaporizhzhia region has told Reuters news agency that Ukrainian forces were using Western-supplied weapons to attack the plant.

Yevgeny Balitsky said officials were ready to show the IAEA how Russians were guarding the nuclear facility while Ukrainians were allegedly attacking it, the agency reported.
Russia seized the power plant in the early days after the invasion, and the shelling of buildings there by Russian forces caused an international outcry.
The power plant in southern Ukraine is still operating, with Ukrainian staff under Russian control.

But the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) contacts with staff at the plant had been "patchy" and the supply chain of equipment and spares had been disrupted, Mr Grossi explained to the Associated Press.
There was also a lot of nuclear material there which needs to be inspected by the IAEA, he added.
"The people of Zaporizhzhia and people far from Zaporizhzhia are relying on all of us to prevent war from causing a nuclear tragedy," Mr Grossi - who runs the IAEA, which works with countries to help ensure the safe use of nuclear technologies - told a conference in New York this week.

In June, Ukraine's state nuclear company accused Mr Grossi of lying over the planned inspection visit, saying Ukraine had not invited his organisation and any visit would legitimise Russia's presence there.
In his interview on Tuesday, Mr Grossi said he and his team needed protection to reach Zaporizhzhia - which meant the co-operation of both Russia and Ukraine.
"I'm pleading to both sides to let this mission proceed," he said.
In 1986, Ukraine was the site of the world's worst nuclear disaster when a reactor at the Chernobyl plant exploded.
