Nobody is threatening to take any territory from Russia. This is pure Russian pablem. Russia has nuclear weapons and would be justified in using them if a foreign force was seriously trying to invade their territory.

Russia is pissed because their influence over Europe is shrinking, because nobody wants to be associated with their highly corrupt, backwards culture and they're not to be trusted. As a result, their neighbours want to be under NATO's umbrella of protection because they've seen what's happened to countries / regions like Georgia, Chechnya and now Ukraine. Russia will take any and every opportunity to invade their neighbours, as they desperately try to regain the Soviet glory that is long gone.

Putin mistepped in Ukraine, thinking the "West" would abandon them. Instead, collectively, we saw the opportunity to stick a knife in Russia's heart and destroy the Soviet stockpile of weapons that their threats to Europe have been backed by. When the Soviet stockpile is gone, Russia will not have the ability to restock it. They're a dying country, with a shrinking population and a declining GDP. Their ability to exert power over the rest of Europe is getting demolished in Ukraine, which is better for all of us. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian lives will be lost in the execution of their noble goal of being free. The least we can do is spend some of our vast resources to ensure they have the best fighting chance possible.

The nice thing is that we've frozen $300 Billion USD worth of Russian assets. Slowly, over time, those assets will be liquidated to refund the defense effort and rebuild Ukraine. In a sense, Russia's own money is being used to destroy the Russian army. It's glorious.

In my opinion, as long as the Russians sell energy, it will not collapse economically and militarily. It weakens to a certain extent, but does not collapse. Its weakening is good for us Turks and Chinese. We will not allow any further at this time. Also, if russia comes to the stage of disintegration, my guess is it will use its nuclear weapons. It is not easy to seize 300 billion dollars of Russia. that money can only be itemized at the negotiating table as compensation. But Russia will not bring the conditions to this level. will surely find a bargain. such as soil. otherwise, the equivalent of $300 billion could be nuclear weapons. which I agree with. After all, that money is for shopping and is insured.

Israel is about to sell roughly 220 Merkava MK2 and MK3 MBTs to two buyers in Europe. It's beginning to emerge that said "buyers" are Cyprus and Morocco . Neither buyer has been officially confirmed yet, but the rumors are swirling. Why is that relavent? You have to read between the lines of what's actually at play here.

Morroco owns approximately 175, reasonably upgraded T-72 MBTs. Meanwhile, Cyprus owns roughly 75 T-80U MBTs. Both of these countries have made it known that they would like to move on from these Soviet / Russian made vehicles and replace them with something else. Do you know who is engaged in a war and would love to add 250 additional T-72 and T-80U MBTs to their army? Ukraine of course. Likely, what we're about to see, is U.S. / European funding, purchase the Merkava MBTs from Israel, to be delivered proportionately to Morocco and Cyprus. In exchange, they will send the entirety of their T-72 and T-80U fleets to Ukraine, the shipping of which, will also be paid for by the United States / European Union.

250 MBTs is almost 3 new tank brigades, or maybe even more importantly, all the MBTs you need to backfill the lost MBTs from exisiting tanks brigades that have been fighting since the beginning of the war. Most importantly, you'd be replacing them with vehicles the Ukrainians are already familiar with and have long logistic chains for relative to maintenance.

Getting these 250+ MBTs to Ukraine, along with the remainder of Poland's PT-91 Twardys (in exchange for stored Abrams'), as well as the 200+ Leopard 1 MBTs that are easily accessible in Europe, should absolutely be the goal prior to the end of 2023. 500 additional MBTs would go a long way towards replacing Ukrainian losses and would put a ton of pressure on Russia to keep up.

US want to recognize nuclear attack on Ukraine as an attack on NATO



The US Senate prepared a draft resolution on a possible nuclear strike on Ukraine

Nuclear weapons used in Ukraine will release radiation over large areas in Europe where NATO allies are located.

In the US Senate, a bipartisan resolution was registered, according to which, if Russia uses nuclear weapons in Ukraine to prevent the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, such an attack by NATO countries should be considered an attack on the Alliance itself. On Thursday, June 22, Voice of America reports.





The corresponding draft resolution in the Senate was registered by Democrat Richard Blumenthal and Republican Lindsey Graham.



"We believe that nuclear weapons used in Ukraine will release radiation into large areas in Europe where NATO allies are located," Graham said during a congressional press conference and quoted US President Joe Biden as saying that the threat of use Russia's nuclear weapons is real.



Graham added that the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus is worrying and provocative, and also said that the threat of Russian use of nuclear weapons is the highest since the Caribbean crisis, and the best way to prevent this is to clearly explain to the Russians the consequences of such actions.



"And our message to those around Putin is that if you do this, if you follow his order, if he ever gives it, you can expect a massive response from NATO and you will be in a war against NATO."



In turn, Senator Blumenthal said that along with the success of the Ukrainians on the battlefield, Putin will be increasingly tempted to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine or blow up Europe's largest Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

USA Pentagon is now supporting the idea of the West sending cluster munitions to Ukraine. The U.S. military has millions of of cluster bombs and munitions of various types. They are ideal for unleashing on Russian infantry positions that are entrenched. Very high casualty rates with these strikes and they make a "mess". Hopefully, Ukraine can get its hands on some phosphorous as well. If you can't bomb the Russians out, burn them out. Very useful tactic.

Russia has no answer for Ukrainian counter battery fire right now. While the Russians started the war with thousands of pieces of towed and self propelled artillery and MLRS, they're losing multiple batteries worth every day, as the Western artillery and counter battery RADAR capability is far superior. Ukraine has begun using long range GMLRS, launched from HIMARs, to excerbate the damage. These pinpoint strikes are being performed well outside of Russian range of retaliation.
