At the World Championships, Ukrainian fencer Olga Kharlan beat a russian player.
After that political shit started and Ukrainian fencer Olga Kharlan was disqualified.
There were many such behavior done from usa to russians. But there were not single disqualification.
But today we see that sport organizations are owned by russian slaves

Rest In Peace to the many Ukrainian young men that have lost their lives in the last 24-36 hours as Ukraine begins an armored thrust into the Robotyne / Dobrove section of the front. Ukraine is making meaningful progress in the area, but as expected it's coming at a significant cost. Reports suggest Ukraine lost 30-40 armored vehicles, consisting of BMP-1/2s, MRAPS, Bradleys and 7-10 mixed variety tanks. Along with the equipment, 200-300 men were killed / wounded as they advanced through Russian minefields, and attack Russian defenses, supported by artillery, head on. They made meaningful gains on their way to Tokmak, but it came at a severe price... Never forget the men of the 47th mechanized assault Brigade, and the brigades / territorial defense units supporting / reinforcing this attack. For they've been tasked with one of the most difficult jobs in modern warfare history. They're acting as the spearhead of a ground assault into minefields and prepared defensive positions supported by artillery, without any kind of meaningful air support. Many of them will never make it back home. Let us hope their sacrifice is the beginning of the end in this awful war.

I'll have a quiet moment tonight for those young men. They're being tasked with the improbable, in an attempt to inspire the world and make it known that a massive upset in this war is possible. 🇺🇦

Ukraine needs 10 to 12 Patriot AD systems
In reality, they could probably get away with about 4-6 Patriots, 3-4 SAMP/T and about 20 combined NASAMS / IRIS-T, supported by systems such as Gepard, Buk and Skynex for intercepting slow moving drones.

10-12 Patriots would be great, but PAC 2 / 3 missiles are extremely expensive, and are really only neccessary for intercepting Russia's Kinzhal, Onyx and other ballistic / quasi ballistic missiles. AIM-120, AIM-9X and IRIS-T have proven more than capable of intercepting Russian cruise missile at an exceptionally high rate.

This is criminal from the part of Zelensky and Biden. Throwing good people to die with low chances of success because of politics is just criminal.

There is no excuse for the so called “civilized world” to not provide air support for Ukraine when doing such major pushes. The lack of meaningful air support will result in hundreds of soldiers uselessly dying, and this is solely because of stupid political games played in Washington.

And there is no excuse for Zelensky and his generals to send their people to the meat grinder just because they want to “show some results”.

I hope they will succeed, but the tactics are shameful and this should not be happening. A major push should come only after the Russian defences have been completly destroyed by MLRS, cruise missiles and artillery fire, and Ukraine should also have air support when doing such an attack. Doing this in a hurry will only result in more Ukrainian soldiers dying because stupid and criminal politicians need to wait a few more months before delivering fighter jets (for no real reason).

I'm sorry, but I think this is an incredibly naiive take. Russia has 300,000+ soldiers in Ukraine and thousands of artillery systems and armoured vehicles. They're simply buying themselves time to tighten up their defenses even further, in hopes that Ukraine will not see a point to a counter attack and will negotiate away the territory that Russia has taken, giving Putin the victory that he so desperately needs.

This counter offensive was always going to be bloody. Land was going to be reclaimed at an extremely high cost of life. But you have to keep things in perspective. Ukraine prepared more than 60,000 troops, in 10-12 brigades for this counter offensive. Look at any military doctrine and you'll see that the acceptable casualty rate for anyone on the offensive ranges between 50-70%, as long as the desired outcome is achieved. Losing the lives of possibly 200 men yesterday is terrible, but it's a reality of war.

Also, it's impossible for the West to send enough equipment and technology to mitigate losses all together. It's going to happen. The West could send Ukraine 48 F-16s, 500 JASSMs, 5000 GMLRS and 1 million artillery shells tomorrow... All it would do is further soften Russian positions. It wouldn't take them out of the fight. Ukraine would always be forced to advance using mechanized troops, which, inevitably, would lead to casualties.

When the United States invaded Iraq, despite overwhelming airpower and deep strike capability, they still suffered 4,492 KIA and 32,292 WIA, despite overwhelming advantages over the Iraqis. Because, ultimately, you have to advance on the ground and put troops in harm's way. It's the reality of mechanized warfare. If the United States suffered 37,000 casualties vs outmatched Iraq, you can't possibly think that Ukraine isn't going to have some really tough days against Russia?

We remember and respect the lives lost, but there is a reason that you draft a million soldiers and field 300,000-400,000 of them at a time, with the rest in reserve. There are going to be bloody days when you lose a few hundred men. Ultimately, they were successful in yesterday's objective and they took a lot of land back near Robotyne and Verbove. Russia also had substantial losses and their defensive structure was compromised in the area.

What would you have Biden do, declare war on Russia by launching 500 Tomahawk cruise missiles at Russian positions, sending hundreds of strike fighters to carpet bomb them with further hundreds JASSMs, then follow it up by dropping thousands of JDAMS, Paveways and other guided bombs on the front? Then give Ukraine 1000 Bradleys, 1000 Strykers and 1000 Abrams and tell them to advance at will? It's not realistic.

A weak spot is found

The course of the counteroffensive

July 28, 2023, 17:55

The counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is advancing

The Ukrainian military liberated the village of Staromayorskoe, Donetsk region, from Russian occupation.

It is believed that the Ukrainian counter-offensive has reached its first climax - the assault on the first line of defense of the occupiers.

The key question remains - where will the Armed Forces of Ukraine direct their main blow?

The most promising direction

Military observer Denis Popovich considers the most advantageous direction for the Ukrainian offensive to be the southern one, from Velikaya Novoselka to Berdyansk.

It was in this direction that the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the settlement of Staromayorsky the day before, which, most likely, will force the Russians to retreat to Urozhayny - this is a neighboring settlement.

“Further, in front of Staromlinovka, there is another settlement - Zavitne Bazhannya. That is, the Russians have the main defensive midfielder in Staromlinovka, but they say that Zavitne Bazhanya is also significantly strengthened. Therefore, now it will be necessary to see how ours will behave further. Firstly, whether the enemy will move away from Urozhayne, and secondly, what reserves will be brought into battle both from that side and from the other. It can be difficult with Staromlinovka, but they say that this is the main stronghold,” Popovich notes.

Staromlynovka is already the second line of defense. That is, in this direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have advanced the farthest.

The intrigue persists

In reality, the form of the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is still unclear to the enemy, the military analyst notes. The Ukrainians continue to attack in areas that are not geographically connected with each other. The settlements for which there are battles are separated from each other by tens of kilometers. The direction of the main blow is still not guessed.

The Russian command has not yet transferred large reserves to where the Armed Forces of Ukraine are attacking (except for the Bakhmut front, where the Russian Armed Forces had to urgently form a new grouping from the reserves to replace the Wagner PMC corps that had gone to the rear), but they used the reserves for their own offensive in the north-east of Ukraine - on the border of Kharkov, Luhansk and Donetsk regions. It, obviously, should divert Ukrainian resources from Bakhmut and the south of the country.

Orekhov and Bakhmut

A breakthrough by armored vehicles along the highway from Orekhov to Tokmak, an important logistics center in the rear of the Russian defense in the Zaporozhye region, was one of the key ideas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, the seven-kilometer journey through the "no-man's land" to the nearest village of Rabotino, fortified by the Russian army, stretched for almost two months. Finally, by the 20th of July, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to bypass Rabotino from the east and advance towards it from the north.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to push the units of the RF Armed Forces, which replaced the Wagner PMC, from the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal and the Bakhmut-Konstantinovka highway. In recent weeks, Ukrainian troops, despite the transfer of Russian reserves to this area, were able to basically capture the fortified area of the Russian Armed Forces on the hills west of the villages of Kleshcheevka and Andreevka.

Not officially but the Olga lady is granted a spot for next year Olympics, which means the IOC blinked. Its funny seeing this after years of the constant " do not mix politics with sport".

Anyone who follows the Olympics stick to the rule IOC put in place, just like in F1 where everyone is subject to the authority of the FIA, not the other way around.
