Russian intelligence: France is already preparing a contingent to be sent to Ukraine

According to the director of the Russian foreign intelligence service, Sergei Naryshkin, initially about 2 thousand French military personnel will be sent to Ukraine.

“A French military unit in Ukraine will become a legitimate and priority target for the Russian armed forces. This means that the fate of all the French who have ever come to the territory of the Russian world with a sword awaits him,” Naryshkin threatens.

The GOP thinking on structuring a loan deal goes something like this: While President Joe Biden has asked for $60 billion for Ukraine, most of that money — $48 billion — would get pumped right back into America’s defense industrial base. The weaponry would eventually get shipped to Ukraine, but the money would support American jobs and build capacity for the U.S. arsenal.

That leaves about $12 billion going directly to Ukraine. Taking that sum and making it a low- or no-interest loan of some sort, these Republicans argue, would not only get desperately needed help to the front lines but appease Trump and keep the GOP base happy.

If i were Ukraine i would avoid all contact with the French, everything they have touched turns into massive failure. When Trump said that everything macron touches turns to shit, he was 100% correct. But there is another element to this, the french could be Putins trojan horse against the Ukrainians. Its no secret these nations work together in multiple fields. It was the even the french who were upgrading the Russian Navy until western pressure forced them to divert the two aircraft carriors elsewhere.

Its very dangerous to invite the French into your home when its Russia you are at war with.

You got to keep in mind that the invasion of Ukraine didn't start a couple of years ago and the French not only didn't care, arguably along with Germany they were Russias biggest partners. If their enemies now its only because they are forced to display that face because of America.

You could even argue that Russia felt so emboldened to instigate various invasions because of how good their relationship was with France/Germany and by extension the EU.

A big reason the Russians were so antagonistic and aggressive towards us, was because the europeans were pretty much siding with them against us on every single issue.

This remains unlikely, what Macron said was that he declines ruling out French troops in Ukraine, but that they’re not needed now.

What Naryshkin is doing meanwhile is reinforcing the narrative that Russia is not just fighting against Ukraine, but all of NATO. This makes it easier for Russian citizens to stomach the lack of significant progress.

Russia had good relations with the EU before the invasion, but Putin destroyed it all when he started the war against Macron’s pledges not to do it.

The EU wanted to build good relations with Russia, but Putin saw this as a weakness, and he thought the EU will allow him to take Ukraine. He was very wrong in his assumptions, as the EU wanted good relations with Russia while also wanting to expand and add Ukraine to the union.

Since Putin ignored Macron’s advice and started the war regardless of the European opposition, he burnt all the bridges he had with the EU, and Macron wants revenge now.

Putin’s Russia is a lost cause for the EU right now, and the only way for the Europeans to get back the access to Russia’s vast resources is by defeating Putin and forcing regime change in Russia. This can happen only if Russia loses the war badly. There is no love left for Putin in EU capitals, except for his two dogs, Orban and Fico. Not even Scholz likes him anymore, but he is just too weak to do anything meaningful .

At this point, wishing that Russians rise up to Putin is just a pipe dream. The West spent the last 2 years displaying openly their harmful intent to make Russia (and Russians) a weaker state subservient to the West. Not even the Chinese 'Wolf warriors' diplomat of early 2020 could compare with what US and European leaders spew in regard to Russia. And that in turn pretty much deterred Russians from replacing Putin even if they wanted to (Putin won the election by an overwhelming 87% btw).

For Russians, their options are pretty much :

  1. A defeated Russia where Russia is once again a geopolitical loser like the 90s
  2. Continue the war forward with the hope that Ukraine will eventually be abandoned. And this is more realistic
ANY sensible Russians would choose option #1. I watched somewhere ( I believe it's a DW documentary) that the Russians see themselves as people/citizens of a great power and the idea that Russia is equal to that of Poland, Ukraine, the Baltics, etc is inconceivable. They view that Russia MUST have her own sphere of influence, and Ukraine is central to that idea. There could be no sphere of influence Westward before pacifying Ukraine.

So I expect Putin's own brutal response, the Western open hostilities to Russians will eventually lead the Russians to think that continuing the war (under Putin's leadership) is beneficial to the interest and survival of Russia.

Waste of taxmoney.

Could be more usefull for the millions of homeless-and unemployed German citizens, or the millions of African immigrants in German cities.

📍It won’t be limited to Donbass: the expert explained where Putin will stop his armies

Putin needs all of Ukraine, but he will seize it step by step

The minimum program for the Kremlin is to seize significantly larger territories than are currently occupied.
