All is explained by Donald J. Trump...

US President Donald Trump explained why he cannot end the war in Ukraine. According to him, when one side is ready to end the war, the other, on the contrary, is not, according to a White House broadcast.

Speaking at the White House, Trump once again said that he had already ended eight wars, adding that no president had settled even a single one.

This guy missed his calling. He should have been a stand up comedian!

A scene from the repelling of an attempted counteroffensive by Ukrainian units near Kupyansk. Ukrainian army assault groups in armored vehicles attempted to approach Russian positions but were attacked by FPV drones. The video shows Russian FPV drone strikes on Ukrainian Kazak armored vehicles, Novator armored vehicles, and vehicles. A Ukrainian M1117 armored personnel carrier, an HMMWV armored vehicle, and other vehicles were also hit by drone strikes.

A Russian Lancet-51 kamikaze drone strikes a Ukrainian Gepard air defense system. The video was filmed in the Kharkiv region. The Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft gun was adopted by Germany in 1973; all air defense systems have since been decommissioned. As a result of the Russian Lancet-51 drone strike, Ukraine's Gepard air defense system was destroyed.

Over 100 videos of Russian interceptor drones operating in Ukraine and the Donbas. The video shows the destruction of heavy Ukrainian hexacopters by Russian FPV interceptor drones. Hexacopters are expensive, heavy agricultural drones of various models, modified for military use. Hexacopters are most often used as FPV drone carriers, communication relays, or bombers. Military hexacopters in Ukraine and Russia are called "Baba Yaga" drones, after a character from Russian fairy tales.

Norway 🇳🇴 has delivered a significant quantity (the exact number has not been released) of AIM-9 Air Defense Missiles to Ukraine 🇺🇦 for use in Ukraine's NASAMS Air Defense Systems. These valuable missiles will be used to help protect high value Ukrainian infrastructure and military sites.

From Washington Post

The analysts say the Kremlin has already spent most of the foreign currency reserves and borrowings that underpinned the sharp increase in military expenditure over the past three years. The situation is being exacerbated by new tough US sanctions against the oil sector, introduced in October 2025.

Janis Kluge, an economist at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs, says that the factors which had been supporting Russia's economy have disappeared. His assessment is that "Russia is right now in the worst situation since the war started."

Sanctions against the state-owned companies Rosneft and Lukoil are forcing Moscow to sell oil at a huge discount. The price of Urals crude has fallen to US$35 per barrel, well below the US$69 included in the initial draft budget for 2025.

Putin continues ruining Russia with no real prospect of defeating Ukraine. I hear that Russia is selling gold. If Putin can find buyers, he should be able to continue on his present economy-wrecking course for some time.
