The Ministry of Defense discussed with representatives of the United Kingdom the implementation of the project of missile boats
A key element of joint Ukrainian-British defense projects is to strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian Navy.
This was discussed during a working meeting between Deputy Defense Ministers of Ukraine Igor Khalimon and Oleksandr Myronyuk with representatives of the British Embassy in Ukraine, headed by Defense Attaché, Commodore of the Royal Navy Tim Woods. Navy Commander Rear Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa also took part in the videoconferencing meeting.
The main topic of conversation was the discussion of the development of the capabilities of the Ukrainian Navy. This process is part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Intent between the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, which was signed on October 8 at the Naval Base "Portsmouth".

During the conversation, Deputy Defense Minister Oleksandr Myronyuk focused on the implementation of the project to build missile boats and equip them with state-of-the-art weapons and automation systems in accordance with the best practices of NATO member states.
The purchase of other weapons for the needs of the Ukrainian Navy within the framework of the sale of credit funds from the British Government was also discussed.
Igor Halimon informed his British colleagues about the current state of implementation of infrastructure development projects on the Black and Azov Seas. He noted that the earliest implementation of these projects will significantly increase Ukraine's combat potential in the Black and Azov Seas, as well as strengthen cooperation with our Alliance partners in the region.
