Could the choice of MICA have any relation to potential acquisition of Rafale in the future or rope in France to be more committed to Ukraine somehow ? Perhaps the tech behind MICA is somehow familiar to Ukraine.

Though I think Eurofighter or Tempest might be a better choice since Rafale is too expensive.

Tempest won't be around before 2040. Eurofighter might be a good choice especially if it is offered at a good price. IMHO Eurofighter is better than Rafale against the Russian airforce. Ukraine needs interceptors. It might also be possible for Ukraine to get second hand Eurofighters and upgrade them to the latest standard which means faster delivery.

Keel laying ceremony has been held in RMK Marine shipyard, with attendance of officials from Ukranian Navy and STM.

Minister of defense has also made some remarks on the weapon systems, indicating that VL MICA has not been ordered yet, and for anti-ship missiles both Atmaca and Harpoon is being considered.

The CMS and IPMS will be supplied by Turkey (Havelsan, Yaltes), The radar seems to be Smart-s and to be supplied by Aselsan, CIWS system on the image seems to be Gokdeniz but also resembles Goalkeeper or Millenium gun with an additional tracking radar module.
As expected that can be read between the lines, Ukraine plans to develop their own systems for the future ships, either starting from the 3rd or the 5th.

The launching date is set to be 2022, sea trials aimed for 2023 and the ship will be commissioned in 2024 (Q1-Q2) .As of now there is no Ukranian personnel being involved in the production or design, but they could be involved in the second ship for ToT. For now it is not clear whether the second ship will be built in Turkey or i Ukraine, but both will be equipped with systems purchased by Ukraine in Ukraine, by Turkish personnel. There are also rumors that a private shipyard may be established in Ukraine by acquiring one of the shipyards in there for construction of the Ada Class or through a JV of Turkish/Ukranian companies.

Is it me or do we get less information than we did previously. Has relations cooled a bit ?

Few months/Last year we were going to do a lot of things together with Ukraine, but all of a sudden the waves seem to have disappeared.

I don't know why information is scarce mainly from Turkish side, Ukranians seem to spill out more and the critical ones.

In my opinion there are lots to happen between Ukraine and Turkey, their army officials like Turkish products very much (seeing and getting direct information on the components, not just some pretty brochures and advertisement but in real action), maybe there could be something on the political side?

Look where they have installed the VLS :) Wasn't really expecting them there, and it is the reason why it was not included in the structural plans.

Can we also install mdas or cold launch system to that area without a major construction in ada class? I remember this area was said to be seperated to heli's operational needs. Would it have any substantial drawbacks?
Not very much, the Ukrainian corvette is quite identical to the Ada class dimension, hull and tonnage. Yet it didn't loose any capabilities by installing those.
The same spot can handle 4-4.5 meters 8 cell VLS without loosing any capabilities.
The main problem is, the VLS is peripheral, thus they need to install additional protection on sides, including to add kevlar protection and leaving a gap between the outer and inner plates against anti-armor missiles.

I have earlier made this and i think this is the where limits of Ada-Class, as is, resides on. (however slight increase in tonnage, 50-100 tonnes are a viable option). Also note the MICA on Ukraninian corvette does not use the available space on vertical and horizontal direction:

MICA-VL VLS cells are very compact so rather than penetrating the hull they are placed above the deck. It is a logical choice. Mk41 on the other hand is a big system and has to be placed behind the 76mm cannon by penetrating the deck. Ada class has space for 8x Mk41 VLS behind the 76mm cannon. No redesign is needed.
