US budget includes $ 756 million aid to Ukraine

An additional $ 60 million US security assistance package has already been attracted to Ukraine this year.
The draft US budget for 2022 includes financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $ 756 million. However, one of the most important goals of Ukraine remains to receive one billion dollars in support from Washington. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba.
"The draft US budget for 2022 provides for a total amount of assistance to Ukraine of $ 756 million, in particular for strengthening security - $ 400 million," the Foreign Minister said during a briefing.
According to him, the United States has allocated more than $ 460 million to support key reforms in Ukraine, and has also provided tremendous assistance in the fight against coronavirus.
"Thanks to US assistance, Ukrainians received about 2 million 200 thousand doses of COVID-19 vaccines," the minister stressed.
Kuleba also recalled that an additional $ 60 million US security assistance package was attracted to Ukraine this year.
"The total amount of material and technical assistance from Washington in 2021 amounted to more than $ 130 million. This is concrete assistance to the Ukrainian army," the head of the Foreign Ministry said.
