IMO, US has made a critical error with its Turkey policy, given Turkey is in NATO. If I was in US position I would always have made sure to keep Turkey on my side as far as possible....rather than treat it quite contemptuously. Any differences with turkey govt, there is lot of avenues for that to engage on in reasonable way given US soft power....but they went for this hard approach instead with very vague ill-defined goals on top (w.r.t say Iran and Iran proxies and foreign policy regarding that vis-a-vis Kurdish militant groups).

Biden is just going to double down on the deep-state "plan", and increase more it looks like

.... after some level of hold was called by trump-admin.

@Indos this is what I meant earlier when I say Biden admin is gonna be worse for Turkey in lot of respects.

That is just a proposal from a think thank, there is no indication yet Biden will implement it.

They can't implement it. Too late for that. They can get busy with us again with the kurds but parallel to that the Chinese and Russians will continue to build up their armies and in a couple of years I won't be surprised if they sail together in the Pacific and Atlantic next to US shores.

The Americans have to adjust their priorities because of their position as a declining power and it would be dumb from their side to follow such policies against us. In the end I won't be surprised if they continue to follow such policies anyway but there is a reason why we call that country a declining power. Anything they do can be reversed.

Retired grand ambassador and diplomat Uluç Özülker said that yeah these are just thinktanks but what drew our attention is that all these ''proposals'' from various think tanks use the same figures of speech, same phrases. This led us to the conclusion that all these are directed from a common ''power focus(güç odağı)''. He says they think it is Israel and its lobbying.

just watch from 5:30

It is opposite, those boys made it possible to confront all those enemies, you think that your enemies are stupid and let anyone to oppose them without friction? Now i am thinking that hdp chp coalition should win and let them rule for couple of years, i am pretty confident that they would screw things so much that it would be their last apperiance on stage.

You guys went from one retarded policy to another. From zero problems, to problems with everyone.

Swung from one failed extreme to the other.

No nuance, no balance whatsoever. Just like the s400 purchase, kicked you out of the F35 and gained no influence over the US or Russia. A few months later the Russians would even kill Turkish troops openly, knowing that erdogan burnt his bridges with the west.

You supported the american/israeli war against Assad, which was only used to harm Turkey herself. The big winners of that failed policy so far have been Israel, American and Russia, the biggest loser after Syria is Turkey. Still shocks me to this very day that the Islamists in Turkey could have been so so dumb. To believe that the west/israel would topple Assad so a pro Turkey government could take its place. Something that would be far worse for the west then Assad staying in power. Assad was weakened to depopulate the area, flood Turkey with refugees and leave the north open for a kurdistan to be created by the west against Turkey. So dumb.

In the past Turkeys enemies limited their attacks against Turkey in fear of a Turkish retaliation. Since AK party destroyed all relations and supported constantly losing and useless organisations like the Muslim brotherhood, we see an alliance form around us not seen since the fall of the Ottomans. Shockingly inept politics.

All of this is clearly feto politics at play or at least was. Politics that ruins Turkey.

In england the kurdistan cause has been heavily promoted, the YPG are never referred to as terrorists. Their crimes are never exposed and Turkey is always shown as an absolute demon. When fighting occurs they highlight Turkeys war on the kurds, the ethnicity is always highlighted. They are creating a perception for an obvios purpose.

Its clear that many nations have territorial designs on Turkey including the UK. Its clear that their is a central body at work which delegates agenda down at the state level, which feeds into media at every level.

Bro, they always do this with think tanks.

The same "whats mine is mine, whats yours is negotiable"....to shift overton window focus....so that more things of lesser nature become more automatically acceptable and they can fill in those slowly more undetected.....and then shift it some more later with more think tank talk as needed. This all provides the buffer and cover for implementation.

US deep state is well entrenched in this operating pattern where it has assets or strategy committed.

Have read whats happening already:

One example:

Biden had harshly criticized Trump’s decision of withdrawal of U.S. military forces from Syria and deemed it a “betrayal” of the YPG and Trump as a “complete failure.”

“It appears President Biden is going to bring back Brett McGurk, the former U.S. envoy to the coalition fighting ISIS (Daesh) and everybody knows that it was Brett McGurk who was the architect of the U.S. cooperating with the terrorists YPG,” Bryza said, elaborating that McGurk together with the leadership of the U.S. Central Command, “rebranded the YPG as the Syrian Democratic Forces as an attempt to confuse people in Washington and to hide the real nature of the YPG/PKK.”

Democrat is always critical to minority, not only for Kurdistan, they will also be critical with Modi handling in Kashmir, this is why the internet is live again there when Biden enters White House.

We are talking about TFX engine supply where I see Biden will not likely become so tough like Trump since the matter is different.

Democrat is always critical to minority, not only for Kurdistan, they will also be critical with Modi handling in Kashmir, this is why the internet is live again there when Biden enters White House.

Their whole system is built on a large hypocrisy and they know that, and the level they can push it on other countries.

Simply putting a LGBTQ flag on a B-52 or drone as you murder innocents on the ground like was done for 8 years under Obama (after he promised to be "change") the previous democrat administration does not show any actual care on minority issues or human rights in general...that hypocrisy is now going to continue under Biden.

US deep state has more innocent blood on its hands than any other in 21st century....minorities and majorities.

Some say up to 1 million civilians have been killed in the Iraq war alone (that Obama continued)....but its at least 150,000 dead.

So I don't see much different between Democrats and Republicans in hypocrisy one bit.

They themselves know that when they make pragmatic relations with countries to cooperate on mutual concerns.

The state department noise reel did not stop w.r.t Kashmir under Trump, neither was it a different one before Modi came to power.

The executive himself is just one part of larger US govt. When president is more silent on one thing or vocal about another thing, the legislature or other parts of the administration take over to balance it.

Thus the 4G mobile internet access is part of staged normalisation (ongoing for couple years) and has nothing to do with Biden.

We have been dealing and managing with their (US deep state) hypocrisy a long while and also how to go past that and work on areas of mutual interest.

Biden admin know with India we have larger things to work on past the usual noise....what will be squawked about as usual back and forth has already been made clear.....so we treat that with only so much importance in the priorities with US cooperation.

We are talking about TFX engine supply where I see Biden will not likely become so tough like Trump since the matter is different.

CAATSA is very bipartisan thing (so it will continue under Biden)....besides it wont affect F110 engine for TF-X anyway: https://fas.org/sgp/crs/mideast/IN11557.pdf

At this early stage, forecasts vary regarding sanctions’ likely effect on Turkey’s defense industry, while generally acknowledging some negative effects—at least in the short term—for Turkish exports that rely on U.S. components. One source has said that sanctions would not cancel existing U.S.-Turkey defense contracts, but may directly impact around $2 billion of potential business.

If it would, US would have pushed GE to stop IP licensing to TEI for all the GE engines it makes to begin with.

CAATSA sanctions will be defined to other things (F-35 program and Turkish defence exports that use US components etc) as far as I understand.

Existing defence contracts for Turkey internal use alone won't be affected.

Biden admin will double down on CAATSA as it stands (and they will most likely implement similar with India since we got S-400 as well, but we have to see what those details are since we never went for F-35).

We will see what they negotiate with Turkey in other avenues to try improve relations there....but in many respects the relationship will worsen or stay same.

Problem in Turkey is that people worship politicians and ideas more then the sanctity and sovereignty of the state. None of these parties have shown themselves loyal to the state and its people.

Unless the common Turk wakes up from his brainwashing he is destined to be cursed by traitor political party after the other. As it stands now Turkey has a collection of traitor parties to pick from.

As for the HDP that party rose to prominence because of ak party/feto. They literally created a hero cause of kurdistan within Turkey itself. AK party were best mates with pkk/hdp just like they best friends with western owned islamist traitors feto.

possibly so but that is similiar around the world, it is not unique for turkey.

define brainwash, everything can be considered as such, what you consider not brainwashed individual, it is impossible to identify it.

it is unjust to put all pkk/hdp on akp shoulder it has extended history before them and it is funny how you avoid apparnt chp hdp simpatetic relations and silent alliance to topple current goverment, it is legitimate but be fair to your supporters and tell them truth about it :).

As if US had been able to solve anything in MiddleEast in the last 20 years.
The question is what the goal was in the first place, was it about solving anything?

Thats how US was solving Iraqi problems after the war it started...
