The U.S. Department of Defense announced this week a new $125 million military aid package to help Ukraine’s forces preserve the country’s territorial integrity, secure its borders, and improve interoperability with NATO. According to the department, this action reaffirms the U.S. commitment to providing defensive lethal weapons to enable Ukraine to more effectively defend itself against Russian aggression.

The package includes two additional armed Mark VI patrol boats to enhance Ukraine’s capacity to patrol and defend its territorial waters. To date, the U.S. has committed a total of eight Mark VI patrol boats. The package also includes the provision of additional counter-artillery radars and tactical equipment; continued support for a satellite imagery and analysis capability; and equipment to support military medical treatment and combat evacuation procedures, the department said.

The remaining $150 million in fiscal year 2021 USAI funds appropriated by Congress will be provided when the Defense Department, in coordination with the Department of State, certifies that Ukraine has made sufficient progress on key defense reforms this year, as required by the National Defense Authorization Act. The Department encourages Ukraine to continue to enact reforms that strengthen civilian control of the military, promote increased transparency and accountability in defense industry and procurement, and modernize its defense sector in other key areas in line with NATO principles and standards. The United States has committed more than $2 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since 2014, according to the department.

Just this little? Really not worth what Ukraine sacrificed for US.

What exactly did it sacrifice?
Unilaterally terminating partnership with Chinese companies under US pressure losing contracts potentially worth billions of dollars. US really should pay much more to Ukraine to make up for the loss.

Defence contracts or other?
Most contracts were defence related, but this act will also hurt long term trade relations with China in all other sectors and cost Ukraine China's possible support in the international community.

This is just a part of the $2 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since 2014.
It didnt and will not have any influence on any past present or future contracts with any country.

Im sure they already work with China in several sectors.

Anyway Ukrainians will learn it hard way that US is never a trustworthy friend, they're always ready to sell their allies down the river every time when doing so fits their own agenda or interests. We'll see.

We know first hand how so called ''allies'' are.

I see no reason why Ukraine should favour/continue defence contracts with countries that did not support (green) its territorial integrity w.r.t Crimea over countries that did:

Or is a vote a huge "sacrifice" to make in comparison if defence contracts and such are so important and markers of "trustworthy" status?

Having USA as ally is better than an ally which invaded your country.
Between Russia and USA , absolutely USA is good choice.

Green recognise crimea as part of ukraine (and russian action as occupation).

Yellow abstained (didn't take a side). Blues were absent from vote.

Red votes recognise Russian side of it, and voted against the resolution.

So obviously Ukraine will favour military relations with countries voting green.

Territorial integrity is very basic thing in defence realm after all.
