Vietnam People's Airforce Su-27SK, Yak-130, Mi-8 conducted live firing at TB2 firing range, Binh Dinh province.

According to AERO Vodochody official page on FB, AERO Vodochody completed delivery 12 L-39NG for Vietnam People's Airforce. t

VPAF became the first customer of L-39 Next gen that will be a timely replacement for the aging L-39s in fleet.

Currently, our airforce school has several type for training cadet pilot
_ Basic training for all aircraft : Soviet Yak-52 (phased out )/ Mi-8, Romanian IAK-52 and American T-6C Texan II
_ Basic training for jet fighter aircraft : Czechslovakian L-39/ Czech L-39NG
_ Advance training for jet fighter aircraft: Russian Yak-130

In terms of investing in training aircraft for the air force, we are not inferior to any country in Southeast Asia.

I think it's a wise decision to diversity your procurement in Airforce like you are doing. But apart from Russian jets, which other options are your Airforce looking to procure ?

Would Chinese be an option, or are you more in favor of SK fighter jet? Or any other ?

Chinese are never an option for VN. You don't buy from one's largest security threat.

Our army can buy aircraft from US, South Korean, Brazil,... You can see several contract with Western side. Buying weapons from a long-standing enemy is a bad idea
We plan to buy F-16 from USA due to reduce the trade deficit and avoid economic penalties from the Trump administration is to buy weapons.
